I suggest doing the above and seeing how easy it is to just wipe off- then rinse off with some water - then soap and water. Ideally I’m looking for minimal maintenance. :-)
I actually had TWRAPS do the installation for me, as I’m local, but they have videos showing how to do the full thing online. Takes about a day and seems pretty straightforward.
I got the 50% tint (glossy) also from TWraps, and I love it. It doesn’t show fingerprints in my experience, and I like that I can see the texture of the stainless underneath. It adds depth. Photos here. I think the glossy may actually be easier to clean than the matte.
I was also torn between...
Seriously? Yes, jaywalking is against the law, and people can generally be idiots, but it doesn’t entitle you as the driver to intentionally plow people over. Either way, stopping right in front of him (when there was nothing preventing you from continuing on) was a dick move. It’s behavior...
For clarity, even when your income exceeds the federal tax rebate ceiling (and hence you would not be able to take advantage of the $7,500 rebate for a vehicle purchase) you will get the benefit of the $7,500 rebate if you take the vehicle under a lease (as long as the truck MSRP is below $80k...
So with the tax credit, plus the referral discount which is currently still available (feel free to use my referral code: http://ts.la/jarett3300) you can get an AWD CT for $70,500. That’s a pretty sweet deal!
I’m sorry, that’s ridiculous. Every buyer makes a decision for themselves: do I want to purchase a product at whatever price it’s currently available. If you could afford to purchase without the tax credit, and you wanted the CT, you bought it. If not, you didn’t. Products always get better over...
No, $80k is the limit for the class of vehicle (trucks); it doesn’t mean the single motor CT will be $80k. It’s a truck with an MSRP up-to $80k.
Regarding when production of the single motor variant will start, I’d expect it to be this year (2025).
Also, if your income exceeds the limit to...
No, I didn’t do anything funky (polishing or the like) after receiving the truck from the factory. If you look at the natural grain of every CT, they all have a subtle swirl- it’s something to do with their finishing process on the stainless. It’s grown on me, as it adds some depth and texture...
50% Smoked Tinted PPF wrap film through TWraps @TWRAPS . You can still see all the texture of the stainless steel through the wrap (which adds a depth beyond what I’ve seen with other wraps). You also get the durability and ease of cleaning of 8mm PPF, plus the darker gray color I love.

I got the 50% PPF tint done through TWraps, and I absolutely love the look. You can still see all the texture of the stainless steel through the wrap, which I really like, plus the ease of cleaning you get with PPF, plus the darker gray color I love. It’s a win across the board. I’m very detail...
Space heaters in the back would work, but waaaaay more efficient would be to use an electric blanket or electric mattress pad. I got the pad for a camping trip with my son and it worked great!
My wife was a bit concerned about third party judgement before I purchased the CT, and that may have been an issue in the first couple of months after the CT’s release with so many people looking for social media “clicks” - but in my limited experience so far, we are past that. In the Bay Area...
I’ve legitimately been amazed by how much better v13 is vs v12. I live in the hills with winding, narrow roads, and v13 takes the turns with efficient confidence. It feels much more natural, and whereas sharp low speed turns were only successful half the time in v12, the new release manages them...
If the company manufacturing the tent redesigned it to fit within the bed (on the L-Track, like the Cybertent) they would get immediate access to the third-highest selling EV in the US - with no other competition other than Tesla’s Cybertent (which is sold out). They should get on it! It’s clear...
