    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I opted for a model Y LR 2 year lease. It has a 6 month. month-to-month extension option, after the 2 years. If Tesla offers me a CyberTruck before the 2 year lease, I’ll probably accept if the lease is close. Goodbye model S, hello model Y.

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I still have the S, and as of now, haven’t completely decided what to do. I bounce back and forth between trading for the Y, and keeping my older AP1 Model S. I am talking with Tesla about the issue, and they have offered a 2 year lease to me, so that is an attractive option.

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I’m leaning towards just keeping the S, and maybe just selling it on the used car market, if the CyberTruck isn’t ready before the warranty on the S ages out. I have another vehicle, so I won’t be without a ride. I’ll surely miss having a Tesla in that time frame though.

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I believe that going from no building in Texas, now, to delivering over 100,000 CyberTrucks (I’m projected to be around 100,000) by 2022 Q3 or even Q4 is wishful thinking. Hey, I hope I’m wrong, as I’m really wanting to be the first of the CyberTruck owners.

Well, that is a very possible outcome, if I get the Y. I’m thinking I may keep the Y, and trade our Highlander in on the CyberTruck whenever it becomes available to me.

Cybertruck Tire Size Options What Do You Choose?

I’m sure Tesla will have some tire options including those 35” tires from the reveal. However, I’m guessing the 500+ miles on the tri-motor will not be with the largest tires, but likely smaller more normal sized tires and rims.

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I’m definitely considering waiting until nearly the last minute in late 2022. My concern is selling an older AP1 car with MCU 1. The longer I wait, the less interest there will be for it. The window for it may already be gone, but waiting will make it harder. It’s not my only vehicle, and has...

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

Almost: 4 payments left. But yeah, I could safe a lot not having payments for nearly 2 years, while it’s still under the full limited warranty. I fear just a little that I will loose value that my S has now if I let it get 2 more years old before trading or selling it.

The Y payment will be less than the S is.

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

The Model 3 success was possible because they had space in the existing Fremont facility. The CyberTruck will be built at the Tesla plant just starting construction in Texas. I Know Shanghai came online fast, but in the USA, I doubt it will go as easily. I do hope so though. Also, the...

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

Yeah, you make a good point, and I’ve considered it. Getting another car, and having to endure another new car depreciation, is not ideal either. It is something I face though by always buying newer cars. If I had any confidence in the December 2022 estimated delivery date, then I’d risk it...

    CyberTruck delivery date issue

I have tesla Model S with the full limited warranty that expires on 10/17/2022. I will hit the year limit before the miles. I am a triple-motor CyberTruck reservation holder. I ordered the CyberTruck on 12/03/2019, so I’m not at the top of the list. My issue is I don’t want to keep my Model...

    Cybertruck 5th wheel RV home

I think from a cost-perspective, that would make the camper or trailer too expensive. Now, if they could utilize the trailer as a battery backup with built-in grid-tie, that would be interesting.

    Cybertruck 5th wheel RV home

I think gooseneck hitches that use a high C-Arch style connector could potentially work if they are high enough to clear the bed side walls, but not a normal existing 5th-wheel.

    Cybertruck 5th wheel RV home

The real issue with a 5th-wheel or gooseneck is the high walls on the bed of the CyberTruck. The hitch in either case needs to be over the real wheels which brings the height of the bed walls into issue. For example, I own a 5th-wheel camper and there is no way it would work on the CyberTruck...

Yeah, extra batteries the size of which would offset the additional weight and aero issues would be awesome.
