Giant Cybertruck silhouette starting to appear on GigaTexas factory facade

Might as well just close out this thread....this isn't the design on the building.

Image of new Cybertruck with a polished stainless steel finish?

In my haste to post initially, I didn't finish my thought. The finish of that front bumper is actually of most interest from what I've seen on other pictures. Also, not sure if it's due to the angle, but I don't see door handles...

The finish appears different... Just thought I would share for others to pick apart. Image from someone's Linkedin account.

    Charging stations.

Im not saying they would make all existing trailers obsolete, that wouldnt make any sense. I am talking about technology that allows for anyone driving with a trailer to be a trailering expert like you, apparently. If you havent noticed, Tesla loves to throw technology at problems that other...

    Charging stations.

IMO, and I admittedly have nothing to back this up...but I think the trailering system will be so advanced that it wont be much of an inconvenience to remove the trailer, charge, and then re-trailer. Tesla's are some, if not the most advanced cars out there. There is no reason to think they...

    Engine braking without an engine

Great explanation @ajdelange , one thing to add is that in my Tesla today, even when not towing, while going downhill or completely releasing the accelerator pedal, many times the max charge you can put back into the battery is reached immediately and then tapers off as you slow. I suspect...

Cybertruck takeaways from AI Day: coming in about a year & getting upgraded AI hardware for FSD

I am around 4200 and will gladly take mine right away, even if it has the older HW. I also currently have one of the first 20k model S vehicles they built. I trust Tesla will put out a solid product, as that car, with 111k miles, still has fewer rattles and creaks than any other car I've ever...

    Q2 Earnings: Whats coming

I'm with you Dids, they are 90% of the way there, they just need to iron out the efficiency/scale bottlenecks. This means in theory (and hopefully practice), every day, they are making batteries and stockpiling them for when production starts. They will have these problems ironed out by the time...

    Q2 Earnings: Whats coming

I think we will get a general "Giga Texas starting production in Q3" knowing damn well that it could slip to q4" . I would still say we would be incredibly lucky to get a CT update....but no news is good news.

Anti yoke folk.. you have a fallback option.

The S doesnt have a stalk for turn signals/controls, so im assuming this still wouldnt be an option until someone makes one that could have those controls integrates as well.

Anti yoke folk.. you have a fallback option.

you may not have a fallback option....i tend to think that if they wont give S drivers the choice the CT would be no different.

    7/19 CT Production Rumors

I think we will see the new press soon, there is a reason they suddenly got very busy on the second half of the press area. For all we know, the rest of the line is already done in Fremont and has already started to be shipped to Texas....things could move very fast once we see that press!

    7/19 CT Production Rumors

As I've done in the past, here are some speculative rumors from accounts that I follow on social media, and for whatever reason, I feel have some credence. Todays rumors for everyone wild speculation and consideration. Feel free to believe these rumors, get excited about them, dismiss...

Cybertruck’s stainless steel supplier to start operations at TX plant by Fall 2021: report

this number seems incredibly low....a quick google search shows most car doors weigh on average between 100 and 175 lbs. I would expect them to be the heaviest doors you could find on a consumer grade vehicle. Military vehicle armored doors steel plate is over an inch think, so i would expect...

Latest From Musk: Production Cybertruck almost exactly same but better. No door handles. 4 wheel steering. Self opening doors.

dont get me wrong, i think it would be great if it could as well, i just dont see it happening. Tesla is so focused on FSD, managing a home's electricity usage from the vehicle while trying to protect the vehicles battery is more complex than what i think will be offered initially. maybe this...
