I didn’t say it was legitimate, I said if there are legitimate issues. Slow down and read what I posted. It is all data, data is how we learn and can improve if needed. Your unwillingness to even see that all data is useful is part of the issues out there. I am in no way saying it was a good or...
I think you are taking it too far the other way. Yes that test is silly and he is a tool. However even silly shit can help us figure out if there are legitimate issues that could be improved with some additional design changes or adjustments. That is what we call science, literally science is...
They are designed to come off. If you are drying the truck in that area and drag a microfiber or such along it they will get snagged and start to come off. I just keep an eye on them and push them in when I see them coming off.
Had this done twice on our 2020 X over 56,000 miles. The root of these issues is the CV joints used are the same that have been used forever in vehicles. They are simply not designed to handle the torque electric motors can put out at some of the angles they experience.
I was incorrect. The rubber seal is attached to the aero flap above/behind the foam (foam that is attached to the glass) on top, so they did replace that. I did have to adjust the replacement aero flap as it was set so low the tonneau was hitting it hard when it was come up from being open. All...
They didn’t do anything that the service bulletin outlines. No extra slats and no rubber seal, I can feel the foam one still there. Going to take it apart today, see what I can do. I may ask them about it some day.
Just had this done as well. Will check tomorrow. What I can say is that I get more water in the vault after the service. Going to mess around with putting a new rubber seal in like others have done. It seems like tonneau doesn’t push as hard against the tailgate now which is part of the reason...
Correct, that is on our X. Just saying that it is all technically “Autopilot features” which is misleading a little. I totally get why people get things confused.
Looking forward to Autosteer on the Cybertruck.
