🦀 Quad Motor Cybertruck and Crab Walk (Independent Front & Rear Wheel Steering) Confirmed!!

I always thought of the original as: CT1=RWD CT2=Standard Range 4wd CT3=Long Range Performance 4wd I think now it is: CT2=RWD CT3= Standard Range 4wd CT4=Long Range Performance 4wd Price increases not necessarily needed. Would make a little more sense for "economies of scale", to drop the 3...

🦀 Quad Motor Cybertruck and Crab Walk (Independent Front & Rear Wheel Steering) Confirmed!!

Can you suggest a $25k purchase price for the 4 motor variant? 😁

How much will the Cybertruck weigh?

I would expect over 5k lbs.

Tesla's NEW 4680 Battery Destroys Solid State Battery Competition - Very Good News for the CyberTruck!

According to the video, the 4680 battery can go 619 miles, which is enough to go from Portland Oregon to Washington DC... I'm skeptical that the trip is less than 619 miles...🙄. Much less than the "4680 battery can go 619 miles".... Much of the info is soundbites that sounds good, but not really...

    Switching to Rivian

Better make sure it is a really early reservation. A production rate of 3.8 per day, can make for a long wait. That rate was from the first 48 days of production, though they projected making 1000 over the last 60 days of the year (~16 per day).

    Cybervan render

I'm all for function over form, but not ignore form. That looks totally unappealing to me. I don't see why they wouldn't lengthen the wheelbase if the vehicle were that long, would improve the visuals a bunch, plus make for a better driving experience.

Sensible alternative to CyberLandr and FORM

I would prefer something like many rooftop tents that are on small trailers, they have an "add-a-room" attached tent with deployable awning or vestibule. This keeps it in the footprint of the truck for driving, but much larger and more practical weather-protected space when camping. It does...

Luxury Camper accessory by Form Camper designed to fit Tesla Cybertruck

I think this is the third or fourth that about this camper... ;)

    Quad motor replacing tri-motor?

A casting is comparable to a front suspension subframe. Except it should be relatively easier to replace. My Bolt had to have the front subframe replaced, it wasn't totaled, though the dollar amount of the entire frame/body repair, was probably close to that threshold.

    Towing Camping Trailers

My 1st world problems, now that gas is so expensive, the pump shuts down at $100 at Costco, which is before I can fill my 34 gallon tank, so I have to go through the payment process again to finish filling the last 2 or 3 gallons.😲

    Towing and range issues

I would agree with the others, a 50% reduction is a good starting point as a guesstimate, until there is a production version with real world tow testing. Also, with the wide variation in trailer types, sizes, weights, aerodynamics, etc... There will never be a specific range hit, it will...

List of features that I would like to opt out

The glare that people tend to have with roof mounted lights, is glare off of the hood. With the hood dropping away, it likely won't be a problem in the CT.

🎥 New Cybertruck video showing (removable) side mirrors, rear wheel steering, turning radius!

I don't think there is a standard size garage depth, only garage door width. So no need to shorten the length of the Cybertruck.

📷 Cybertruck spotted with windshield wipers, side mirrors, wheel aero covers removed, staggered wheels/tires!

Sadly, I expect to be shot at in the Cybertruck, just as often as I am shot at in my Ram. 😥

📷 Cybertruck spotted with windshield wipers, side mirrors, wheel aero covers removed, staggered wheels/tires!

I don't know why there would be staggered wheels/tires on a pickup truck, I certainly don't see any. Maybe someone is looking at a still photo of the turn when it appears 4 wheel steering is engaged, and it looked staggered?

What do you all think of the minimalist approach to the Cybertruck?

I love minimalist! Until it is missing something I want. 🤪

📷 Cybertruck spotted with windshield wipers, side mirrors, wheel aero covers removed, staggered wheels/tires!

Side profile looks exactly the same as the original to me. From the front (as others mentioned), it looks like the glass goes down a little further or there is a black space between the windshield and hood, that likely contains the wipers.

🎥 New Cybertruck video showing (removable) side mirrors, rear wheel steering, turning radius!

Either that, or since they couldn't build it without mirrors, they choose to build it with the biggest rearview mirrors ever! 😉

List of features that I would like to opt out

If any of those are deal breakers, you might as well move on now, and put in a reservation on a Lightning or Rivian.
