I always thought of the original as:
CT2=Standard Range 4wd
CT3=Long Range Performance 4wd
I think now it is:
CT3= Standard Range 4wd
CT4=Long Range Performance 4wd
Price increases not necessarily needed. Would make a little more sense for "economies of scale", to drop the 3...
According to the video, the 4680 battery can go 619 miles, which is enough to go from Portland Oregon to Washington DC... I'm skeptical that the trip is less than 619 miles...🙄. Much less than the "4680 battery can go 619 miles".... Much of the info is soundbites that sounds good, but not really...
Better make sure it is a really early reservation. A production rate of 3.8 per day, can make for a long wait. That rate was from the first 48 days of production, though they projected making 1000 over the last 60 days of the year (~16 per day).
I'm all for function over form, but not ignore form. That looks totally unappealing to me. I don't see why they wouldn't lengthen the wheelbase if the vehicle were that long, would improve the visuals a bunch, plus make for a better driving experience.
I would prefer something like many rooftop tents that are on small trailers, they have an "add-a-room" attached tent with deployable awning or vestibule. This keeps it in the footprint of the truck for driving, but much larger and more practical weather-protected space when camping. It does...
A casting is comparable to a front suspension subframe. Except it should be relatively easier to replace. My Bolt had to have the front subframe replaced, it wasn't totaled, though the dollar amount of the entire frame/body repair, was probably close to that threshold.
My 1st world problems, now that gas is so expensive, the pump shuts down at $100 at Costco, which is before I can fill my 34 gallon tank, so I have to go through the payment process again to finish filling the last 2 or 3 gallons.😲
I would agree with the others, a 50% reduction is a good starting point as a guesstimate, until there is a production version with real world tow testing. Also, with the wide variation in trailer types, sizes, weights, aerodynamics, etc... There will never be a specific range hit, it will...
I don't know why there would be staggered wheels/tires on a pickup truck, I certainly don't see any. Maybe someone is looking at a still photo of the turn when it appears 4 wheel steering is engaged, and it looked staggered?
Side profile looks exactly the same as the original to me. From the front (as others mentioned), it looks like the glass goes down a little further or there is a black space between the windshield and hood, that likely contains the wipers.
