The interesting aspect of the Beast for me is largely in potential future software based upgrades. Things like torque vectoring and traction control are a shoe in for the two rear motors. I think moving forward the Beast configuration has loads of upgrade potential missing on the AWD.

The Trucks arrive from Tesla in batches. There was a recent post that a boat load just showed up. If your VIN is on that boat it will be very soon. If not, I’d say you’ve got a month or more since a shipment just arrived.

The hold up right now is Young Brothers. Timeline from Vin to delivery used to be months. Now it’s much faster. Your issue will be shipping if you are outer island. The lead time is almost two months currently.

Just ignore the payment request in the app. Do all the other tasks. You’ll get the delivery date regardless. As mentioned before. Show up. Look. Pay.

One more tip. If you take delivery on Oahu and have the time, drive it through the tunnel on the H3. The lights in the tunnel strobe the interior through the glass roof and the dash (as long as it is) creates a cool effect.

Funny aside… I handed my shipping documents to the Young Brothers agent. He was standing right in front of the truck looking at it as he proceeded to ask me where my Tesla was. Pretty good indicator that they haven’t shipped many out of Oahu.
