CT does not drive in the center of the lane at highway speeds. Seems to do pretty good below 45 mph, unless the wind is blowing.
On the highway, it rides right of center while in the right lane, and left of center in the left lane. It travels outside of the lane repeatedly, often driving...
I get the strike when it goes over the limit set by me (not the speed limit). If I accelerate 1 mph past this limit, I get the red, the wiggly steering wheel, I then get the disengage, the video is sent to Tesla, and I get the strike. All I am trying to accomplish is to travel at a speed I set...
Yes, these navigation issues are common. My CT stopped dead on a freeway recently, and did a U-turn to find a non-existent dirt road. I stopped this nonsense, of course. Also, going "home" takes me on an endless loop throughout my neighborhood. I could go on-and-on.... )))
I wonder how much of...
Tidal gets my vote, and my 2-cent opinion. Quality is excellent, but more importantly, the User Interface is much simpler than all others. I tried the 5 or 6 leading competitors. My main gripe is that each service provides some AI generated crap ("DJ") that is always shoving bad music at you. I...
My two cents -
Exceeding the speed that FSD is set at gives a blue-warning on the screen. This happens all the time, since FSD typically drives 5 mph lower than I have it set. If this warning is not reacted to quickly, like maybe 5 seconds, it turns into a red-warning (strike). I typically get...
The initial drop in speed causes problems in traffic, as in getting rear-ended. And it is frustrating, and often takes 2 or 3 on/offs to get the velocity I want. My Tesla 3 does not have these problems.
Speed control with FSD is so annoying that my passengers consistently ask me not to use FSD.
I agree with the randomness of FSD with regard to speed limit signs. It understands normal signs about 75% of the time, and either disregards signs at other times, or selects random velocities to drive. I can't tell which. FSD puts me at high risk of speeding violations, since I am somewhat...
T-slot in the Tesla CT roof rack is 0.4" wide, and the slot underneath is 1.0" wide. It is not obvious because the slot is filled with the rubber material that sits in the slot, but it certainly is there.
My 2-cents on carrying bikes is to use a bumper hitch rack. I like the Kuot, for 3...
I was certainly confused when the CT stopped in the left lane of the freeway to make a U-turn. I was just enjoying the FSD, looking around. Turns out the Navigation AI wanted to send me down a dirt road "short cut" that wound through the desert and across some canals. I managed to take a phone...
Let's be realistic here. The new CT is going to be so fun to drive, you will drive way more than you are calculating. Get a 220 v 60 amp charger at your house. Use work as much as you can. Buy the wall charger thing. Get an electrician to put 60 amps into a circuit. Do it now. You will not...
"Your honor, I was turning left, but she was speeding, so I had to stop. She accelerated when I was at a full stop and then she ran into me. She was on her phone."
This certainly is a quality product. Good in wind to 25 mph, rotates, and pretty big. Currently using a tarp on pvc poles, held in with guy-ropes... kinda funky. Hitch mount, easy set-up, and provides shade "right now" is sounding pretty good for desert travels.
Hmmm... Tesla vs NASA. Where have I heard about this before? Oh yea, space. Once NASA is privatized and Musk takes over the big contracts, this guy will be out of a job. So he is just starting his new career probably - as a Musk/Tesla Complainer.
I remember when car pooling was voluntary (no stickers), and depended on how many passengers were in the vehicle, aka "car pooling". It looks like the system now has other priorities.
I have a Tesla 3, two Ford ICE trucks, a super-car, and now the Cybertruck. With 13,000 miles on the CT, I have had to install trickle chargers on the ICE machines because I never even start them; the model 3, I am giving to a relative, and I have put the sports car up for sale.
I enjoy the CT...
Yes, I am capable to do the math on percentages... [e^ipi-1=0] )))
Traveling +5 is the way I like to travel, and I have to reset the speed every time I cross a speed limit sign - which is about every mile in the city and every 5 miles on the highway. I might as well be driving without FSD...
