Nah, that went up in smoke, already ;)

BREAKING: 324kW Tesla Superchargers Are Coming Later This Year! [Up From Current 250kW]

"4680s in vehicles this quarter" = Model Ys in Austin and some Semis. This is really good news in terms of prep for the CT!

BREAKING: 324kW Tesla Superchargers Are Coming Later This Year! [Up From Current 250kW]

In regards to home charging, you would never want to exceed about 80% of the maximum breaker rating. I installed a 100A breaker for my Gen1 home charger, which will allow up to 80A for my S85D which has the dual chargers onboard. Honestly though, I typically scale it back to 65A or so in the...

BREAKING: 324kW Tesla Superchargers Are Coming Later This Year! [Up From Current 250kW]

If the 4680 cells handle the charging as expected, increasing the max output of the SuCs should result in a faster charge for the 4680s (and beyond). The "tabless" design of the 4680 is the part of the secret sauce that will make that battery geometry popular and will likely encourage the...

Instrument Cluster Display + Auto Shift Out Of Park + Steering Yoke confirmed in new Cybertruck pics @ Giga Texas

If you gauge cost by replacement parts (plus labor, mind you) the 2 screens should run less than $1,500 (based on the MCU2 replacement task for the Model S, which includes replacing both screens). It's roughly the cost of a laptop, I don't consider that excessive and I love the 2 screen setup...

    Adaptive Headlights!

This is one of the (minor) reasons I want to switch from the S to the CT. I'll sit higher and won't get blinded by others' lights at night.

Tesla Develops 12,000-Ton Giga Press for Production of the One-Piece Car Body

It would be interesting to see if replacement "parts" for a unibody framed vehicle could be 3d printed on demand to match exactly what was needed for each accident. If there were a way to scan in the damaged portion of the frame, exactly match what was needed (using some sort of AI/ML backed...

    Dash storage

My money is on that setup. A larger frunk would be more useful IF there's sufficient center console storage space in the CT. I'd love to have the option to use the frunk as a cooler (with a built-in drain plug).

Those hand warmers ROCK! We have one and it works great!

    Hunting in the Cybertruck

I agree. We only plan to use the EV around our property and, as a result, the shorter range is not a problem. We are off the grid, so we've put in a 400W panel array with a 300 Ah battery storage solution to recharge the batteries daily. So far, so good!

Tesla says it won't honor retroactive Full Self-Driving FSD pricing for discontinued models

He seems to have an uncompromising personality and an unrelenting drive. That is probably one of the reasons why he is able to achieve his visions/plans for the company. Yeah, that could be hard to work with though.

Tesla says it won't honor retroactive Full Self-Driving FSD pricing for discontinued models

I'll just leave this here as a slightly related story: My next door neighbor ordered a Model S and Tesla changed their delivery dates about 3 times until settling on one at the end of the month. The problem is: my neighbor and his wife are on the title of their existing vehicle and both will...

🎥 [Update: NOT Production Wiper] New Cybertruck design spied! Shortened front, no door handles, side mirrors, curved windshield glass! [Dec. 10]

Well, there were patents regarding a solar tonneau: https://cleantechnica.com/2021/07/02/inside-the-unique-tesla-cybertrucks-solar-charging-tonneau-cover/. Also, the solar roof that Tesla offers is supposed to be strong enough to handle hail storms and other impact damage...

🎥 [Update: NOT Production Wiper] New Cybertruck design spied! Shortened front, no door handles, side mirrors, curved windshield glass! [Dec. 10]

I meant it would be a replacement for the solar tonneau to supply energy to charge the CT. If that shade were also strong enough to resist hail damage, I wouldn't be upset.

🎥 [Update: NOT Production Wiper] New Cybertruck design spied! Shortened front, no door handles, side mirrors, curved windshield glass! [Dec. 10]

A sunshield and an energy generator would not be a bad idea. You would have to be able to secure it to the CT, someone would for sure try to steal it.

Tesla says it won't honor retroactive Full Self-Driving FSD pricing for discontinued models

Just a hypothetical: Would you rather get the Tri-motor with the "locked in" FSD price a year after the launch of the quad-motor OR switch to the quad-motor with the "current" FSD price (not saying you have to actually buy it) and get the 4CT in early 2023? I think I would opt for the 4CT...
