This has only happed one time while charging at home on 240V. I unplugged the charge cable and the sound stopped. I plugged it back in and it started up again. It hasn't happened again in the past 17 days, or at all in the previous 11,000 miles of driving and home charging.
Has anyone else come...
For the past month or so my CT has been making what sounds like bad bearings, coming from the front drive unit. I took it in to service and they confirmed the sound was not normal and that it was likely the front drive unit. I'm not sure if they mentioned it as being the inverter, motor or...
Do we have an official term for the non-Core wheels?
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has posted any specifications on the two types of wheels: weight, width, etc. The bottom line as to what I'd like to know is the efficiency difference between the two wheel types, both with covers and without...
I've been wondering what happens with any tree/bug/sand debris that may (will) be on the cover when it is opened. Does it just become trapped in the truck somewhere? Can it be cleaned out periodically? Does the manual discuss this?
I just noticed that Tesla lists the following two bits of information on their website regarding the AWD Cybertruck:
Estimated Range: 340 miles
Consumption Rating: 42.9 kWh/100mi
With a given battery capacity of 123 kWh, 429 Wh/mi comes to a range estimate of 286 miles. This actually seems...
I have seen official word from Tesla that the tri-motor Cyberbeast comes with a front locker.
But do we have any official word or evidence that the AWD dual-motor will come with front and/or rear lockers?
In looking at Tesla's map of destination chargers, I see many 2-station locations sporting "up to 18kW" designations. I presume that many of these sites were outfit with destination chargers specifically for Cybertruck testing. To my thinking, this indicates the Cybertruck's onboard charger will...
We have a 2017 S and a 2018 X. Both vehicles have air suspension, but when at full height they are so stiff and bouncy that they aren't useful for much more than clearing a tall speedbump. What are the odds that the CyberTruck's suspension will actually be useful for any sort of driving that...
