It’s likely the truck is using the motor(s) inefficiently on purpose to warm the cabin or the battery. Whenever my early CT AWD is preconditioning or heating it sounds like that a gear moan or whine, then goes away if I stop navigating to the Supercharger or turn off the high defrost.
