Just got the 2025.14.6 version and it came with FSD update 13.2.9. Believe it or not, it actually does much better on small two-lane roads. On my testing roads it usually crosses the center line at least 6 times, and it didn't do it once. It is still "too close" to the center line for my...
HA! Yes! Speaking of sight-seeing... gives me a idea. We need "Tortoise Mode" where FSD would drive at a slow speed (you select the slow speed) until it detects a vehicle coming behind you, in which case it would speed up to the speed limit, then once the car passes you, it would slow back...
Mine is un-usable thanks to being on mostly rural roads here, and on two-lane roads, it hugs the center line (and crosses over it) even when traffic is oncoming, that it's unsafe and unusable. It also makes left turns "too tight" in that it crosses over the oncoming lane. I've tried...
Took ours to Service Center - they said it needed an extra slat. They repaired that, and it still leaks, but 90% improvement (so it's worth your time). Will probably do the weather stripping hack when it gets closer to monsoon season.
UPDATE: So since the last time I posted that recalibration had "fixed it" a few days later it went back to hugging the centerline. I got 13.2.6 last night and I tested it right away. "Right now" it's only hugging on one back road, but I'd say is 75% better. I'm hoping it gets better over...
Ours has done this the past two upgrades. Recalibrating the cameras fixed it both times (almost perfect after recalibrating). Don't know why I'm having to recalibrate after every upgrade, but as long as it works it's just a pain. It's safe to do. Controls > Service > Camera Calibration >...
Before the last upgrade, when traveling to a location where the truck has no signal with it's built-in cellular, I used to be able to go into the settings and turn on the Wifi and let it connect to my phone's hotspot and still have data/maps/music. The built-in cellular in the truck is poor in...
Mine had been doing this from the time I got it... I got a tip about a month ago from another user on this forum to recalibrate the cameras. Once I did that (took about 5 or 10 miles), it now drives "almost" perfect! Huge difference!!!
OMG, thank you so much! Mine has hugged the center line so bad since I got it.
I did the recalibration and now it's gone from un-usable on FSD to really really good! Perhaps it comes from the factory that way, or the first person to calibrate it was a center-line hugger LOL!
Still wish it...
I've not had any problems with mine since it was fixed by that update a while back. I think it would be worth it to schedule a service appt to get it fixed. Yours may be actual hardware issue.
Well, we got an update to FSD a few weeks after the original FSD, and now it's selecting the wrong gear again. Even when there's a wall right behind it. Oh well, I give up. I assume this will be worked out over time.
I received zero communication from the delivery center about when/where/how to get the tag (in New Mexico). I was too excited to even ask about it at the time LOL.
Anyway, I had 7 days til temporary tag expired, so I called Tesla. They said it should be there in time. I had no other...
And I had installed the Auto-park update that came a few days ago, and it still selected the wrong direction. But now some good news! I installed the FSD version a few minutes ago and "knock-on-wood" so far it's started selecting the correct gear again. So hopefully FSD update has cured it...
