  1. No Sway Bars?

Can we presume that the CT will not have sway bars? Since Tesla states that the CT will handle like a sports car AND be capable off road, it's been my experience that a vehicle's suspension can do one or the other, mutually exclusive. Some high end SUVs, like the Porsche Cayenne, can...
  2. Cybertruck pics & videos from the Petersen Automotive Museum [Dates Extended Until July 5]

Can anyone get really detailed pictures or video of the front and rear suspension? Like slide a camera under there? I'm very curious what the rear suspension looks like: control arms, linkages, etc.
  3. Funny Cybertruck images & videos

    Great litter box idea!
  4. Need Opinion

Oh, and don't let your wife touch that money! Been there, done that, divorced her.
  5. Need Opinion

I'm in the same boat. I don't trust my current car to last (without significant repair expenses) until the CT is available and in my driveway (2 - 3 years?). I asked my financial guy to buy Tesla stock at $564. "Nope, it's going to crash, almost certain". I asked my financial guy to buy...
  6. Cybertruck pics & videos from the Petersen Automotive Museum [Dates Extended Until July 5]

Looks like an aluminum front hub housing/knuckle! I was expecting cast iron
  7. Cybertruck will make public debut at Petersen Auto Museum in LA beginning From June 20-27!

Ugh! You guys in California get all the cool Tesla stuff! I would LOVE to see the CT on display!!
  8. Are there more than one prototype?

Are there more than one prototype? It looks as if there may be more than one prototype. If you take a look at the welding flaw on this first picture, you can plainly see that it does not exist on the truck that Jay Leno and Elon are driving in.
  9. Interior Side View Camera Screen Spotted?!

That's what I was thinking. The close up pictures to not appear to be the same truck that Franz drives up in.
  10. Interior Side View Camera Screen Spotted?!

I think locating the screen further forward would be too far to feel "natural". We're all trained to look right at that spot for the side view mirror. But you do make a good point, it'll get wet at some point if it's mounted on the door there
  11. Interior Side View Camera Screen Spotted?!

I'll have to take a look at some of the test ride videos that are floating around out there. I don't recall seeing this thing on the door, but then again, I wasn't looking for it either.
  12. Interior Side View Camera Screen Spotted?!

Spotted this in the Cybertruck feature by Jay Leno on CNBC. Is this possibly the side view camera screen with a black cover over it, or is it only a door speaker? Edit: they could be covering the side view camera screen for now, pending federal approval to launch the Cybertruck without...
  13. Will the CyberTruck be your First Tesla and/or Electric Vehicle?

Me too! Alta MX... best motorcycle I've owned, and for those that don't know the bike, it's electric!
  14. 3mm thick 30X stainless steel body panels / exoskeleton

3mm is .1181" 1/8" is .1250 in decimal world 1/8" sheet steel is 11 gauge. Which is .1250". Which is approximately 3mm (.1181"). So, if Space X and Elon use conventional fraction and decimal equivalents, and use conventional sheet metal nomenclature, it could be safe to assume the CT will...
  15. Does anyone plan on polishing their Cybertruck to a mirror like finish?

The stainless I have on my motor coaches (Prevost entertainers, with SS fluted sides, heavy SS bumpers) does pit from road salt and rocks. Once a year the bumpers get a quick 320, 400, 600 grit sand, then cut with Airway pad a heavy cut rouge, then buffed. The light gauge SS siding doesn't...
  16. Connecticut Cybertruck Owners

For me it's primarily the fact that it'll be stainless steel...... but....... I want the ENTIRE chassis to be SS. I fully understand the the exoskeleton will have the 3mm SS skin, but what about the floor pan, the door stampings, door jams, interior sections of the chassis, etc.? If those...
  17. Does anyone plan on polishing their Cybertruck to a mirror like finish?

Polishing an Airstream would be more work than the CT. 3mm stainless steel wont warp much, if at all, while cutting and polishing, unlike the Airstream. I'd sand with 400 grit, then again with 600, then "cut & color" with Airway pads, rouge, and a 6000 rpm variable speed buffer. I'll bet a...
  18. Connecticut Cybertruck Owners

Lisbon is getting closer to the NE corner! I'm in New Haven weekly, so I go right by Madison's new chargers, but it would be nice to have one closer to home
  19. Connecticut Cybertruck Owners

Wow, you might be the first one in Conn to get their CT! You'll need to take a tour to visit the rest of us while we wait for ours!
