Super excited for electric dirt bikes! I'm an Alta EXR owner and sad for lack of support, and replacement parts. This is an exciting new product, assuming they can survive and make this a reality.
As was calculated in previous threads, how the #@[email protected] are they gonna squeeze 350kW of charge (~875 amps at 400 VDC) through:
- that charging cable
- the charge port
- the battery management system
- the batteries
875A doesn't even show up on my basic NEC quick-chart! Is the NEC not relevant...
I heard the current purchase model has the FSD follow the VIN.
This is a bummer in many ways but I just thought about accidents that total the vehicle... What happens then... Sounds like you're fresh outta luck.

What do you think the other parts in the undercarriage (suspension parts, formed structural battery case, etc...) will be made of?
I know there is also galvanic corrosion of carbon steel if it's not properly isolated from any stainless.
I'm sure Tesla is thinking about this, but wondering what...
