Yeah itās a S-Corp and the credit passes through to my personals, so Iām actually using the credit against personal income via K1. Crossing my fingers⦠my VIN was 11000 series so Iām not hopeful.
Hmmm⦠I will be interested in this. My accountant claimed the 8936 with my 1120S and filed it. Havenāt had any rejections (yet). Whatās the verdict on this? Tesla had to send in something?
Yeah I donāt know about titling, but my accountant made clear right before I bought it that the purchase agreement/bill of sale must have my companyās name as the purchaser. Tesla said they would register it in the same name as the purchaser. So we left it at that.
I guess you could jump...
I did! Getting the full $12,500 ($7500 + $5k CO). Oh⦠and the Feds give a credit for installing EV chargers too š
Yes, I registered the truck in my companyās name.
I got the $7500. š Claimed it under my s-corp⦠got the $7500 because there is no income or MSRP on EV trucks for businesses. Passed straight through as a credit to my personals on my K1.
Itās sad you have to use loop holes to get it⦠but I got it.
wait dude⦠you jumped on me about me saying itās not a work truck. What was the OPs original intention. Did I not say itās good for what it does? To use the right hammer for the right nail?
Then you got all pissy because being rural you haul shit or snow plow with it? Snow plowing is...
MY definition of a work truck:
Something that can haul heavy machinery as in up to 30k lbs:
I live in the Rockies. Lots of folks here place this 1400lb hydraulic plow on the front of thier trucks:
How about pulling 15k lbs of a goosenecked fifth wheel greater than 90 miles, through...
The CT is not a work truck. Itās an EV with a bed for doing odd jobs (I.e. hauling stuff from Home Depot, utility hauling, grocery/Costco runs), etc. itās also a cross between a race car and a light utility vehicle. Itās fun as hell to drive and the tech is mind blowing. The CT was never...
Agreed. Yes, right after delivery you should not be needing an alignment for normal road use. However I am saying it's normal maintenance. If someone gets a free alignment under warranty at 15-20K miles, I want to know about it (y)
I said "suspension". Chassis is irrelevant.
It's not necessarily gradual. Hit a pothole.. Hit a curb head on... and of course rock crawling will wear them significantly faster. I have literally had my alignment done and hit a massive pothole (on a dirt road I might add), and I had to go...
Wait! Now for the moment of truth...
Since @HaulingAss likes to make statements that are questionable, I decided to research this a bit...
So I started with this:
https://oceansidemotorsports.com/how-often-should-i-get-a-wheel-alignment-for-my-tesla/
and I thought that @HaulingAss will make...
Uhhh no I didn't. You are making conjecture. Sorry dude but I call BS on you.
There should be no difference in alignments between Tesla or ICE. I fully doubt your comments on the "more ridgid chassis and stiff suspension". You are 100% wrong on Tesla suspension being better than average (at...
So Tesla will do alignments for free during the warranty period? Thats news to me, but if so, thats good news. Mainly because if you off-road with this vehicle, you will definitely be needing an alignment at some point, especially if rock crawling.
