  1. CT charging

Just my experience, not making claims or encouraging others. Jeez. I guess what I have done and experienced 1st hand after 5 years and 150,000 miles over 4 different Tesla’s is invalid. I will consider myself censored. No old wives here, just experience not theory of how batteries work. Where...
  2. CT charging

On my trip this past weekend I did the splash and dash a few times but the changes to the charge stop predictor when towing sucks. It acts like I can only go 50-75 miles on a nearly full charge. Truth is, I can go 170+ if I go 60mph and stay around 600wpm or lower.
  3. CT charging

Oh my gosh! I am a person and I was relating my experience. Good grief! I have been dealing with wind solar and now EV batteries for 30 years. There was a thread in the Virginia CT group that I am also in. The degradation of my batteries was less than 1/3 of anyone else’s and o had nearly...
  4. CT charging

After charging on the road for years, including today, this is my experience. Always navigate to the Supercharger. That gets the batteries ready for supercharging. Charging at home, use slowest rate possible, even down to 5-6 amps. This keeps the battery from losing capacity. My CT just rolled...
  5. FSD drives differently after installing Winter Tire Package

Just finished 3,200 miles on the Winter Tires, put 60 psi in them. Some FSD issues but same before the change. Back on Michelins now. A lot quieter. towed camper 260 miles from Richmond to New River Gorge National Park and used 600 wpm. Winter Tires knocked it down about 15-20%.
  6. Tesla Service Center Repair if at all

Mine has been back 4 times with this on the list and it has not changed. Same with the driver door. I tied to fix the driver door, not so easy as the door is thick and heavy and the alignment is minuscule. My tailgate is off at least as much as yours. IF you find the "magic sauce" let me know!
  7. Phantom Wipers

Wow, I am really disappointed that you guys are missing this entire point about the wipers. The wiper setting is set by engineers that live where 2/10's of an inch or rain is a gully washer and a record setting event! Honestly, my first trip to CA I was greeted with a front page headline that...
  8. Looking at replacement tires for Cybertruck (BFG KO3 & Michelin Defender), pros and cons

Only drove the OEM tires across town, 30 miles, then sold them for $500. Squishy I think. For the OEM’s. These are stiffer and stand up when cornering. Stiffer tire plus 60+ pounds. Not as quiet as OEM but ride is adjustable and on track for 80,000 miles.
  9. Looking at replacement tires for Cybertruck (BFG KO3 & Michelin Defender), pros and cons

We get a LOT of rain here, plus we took trips from VA to Quebec and Wyoming last summer. They are great in the rain. But, they are 10 or 12 or some number of plys that make them a real truck tire. So with a max of 80 lbs, the will tell you to run it in the mid 50's but I have done 60-62 and...
  10. Looking at replacement tires for Cybertruck (BFG KO3 & Michelin Defender), pros and cons

They are wearing exactly even. So even that after 16,000 miles only rotated once. Running 62 psi. These are 80,000 mile tires. I have 16,000 on these and am a little under 400wpm and 600wpm towing our camper for about 6,000 miles of the total. Almost 4,000 miles on Snow tires, no towing and...
  11. Looking at replacement tires for Cybertruck (BFG KO3 & Michelin Defender), pros and cons

After daylight ... I have the winter tires on right now. That is what I used my credit for. They are great but fairly loud and pull the range down by about 50-75 Watts per mile. But boy oh boy do they grip!
  12. Tire Rotation - how you getting it done?

I am 70. This makes lifting easy and helps line up the studs. https://a.co/d/af2Gbeq
  13. Tire Rotation - how you getting it done?

Try this! This makes it easy to line up the studs. https://a.co/d/af2Gbeq
  14. Tire Rotation - how you getting it done?

Correct Torque matters. I have ONLY seen Discount Tire do it.
  15. Tire Rotation - how you getting it done?

Try 6,600 pounds for starters. Less than a Suburban.
  16. Looking at replacement tires for Cybertruck (BFG KO3 & Michelin Defender), pros and cons

Very happy with mine. I have winter tire on now but put 16,000 on LTX’s and looking at them, very little wear. Still more tread than OEM tires when OEM tires are new. Look at the specs. I run 61-62 pounds in them.
  17. 3000+ Mile Cross Country Road Trip

Well said. Especially when paying for Supercharging! Looking at the math, going 75-80 makes the cost level with ICE. Home charging and around town are dirt cheap!
  18. Cybertruck towed our Airstream to the Daytona 500 (NASCAR), 475-miles from NC

Not really. I towed our camper now 7,000 miles. Math gets easier. You can use the truck range as a guide but at first it is not very good. No FSD kinda sucks when towing. I have not towed since October and I don’t think Version 13 was even out yet. My camper is super aero efficient...
  19. Cybertruck towed our Airstream to the Daytona 500 (NASCAR), 475-miles from NC

So can you tell me about the solar panels? Brand, size, mount?
  20. Does everyone’s windshield wiper suck?

If I live in Florida, I cannot make a good snowplow. If I live in CA, I cannot make a good windshield wiper. It needs attention, especially since that camera is used for FSD.
