This is the absolute beauty of this truck and it's surface - hit it with the orbital and it looks like new. Amazing work.
We did 10k miles of winter driving this past 6 months which left lots of little bit and bobs all over - especially frunk. So I just did my frunk and tailgate using my...
I saw a cool CT with a matte black wrap at the car wash on Sunday morning.
Then I looked a bit closer and noticed not one, but two stickers on the tailgate that said “I bought this before Elon went crazy”
Talk about the ultimate irony. The CT wouldn’t exist without EM and his particular type...
That last repair is just bad. That dark mark is where the weld for the connection post burned hot enough to discolor the exterior - that better not be common no acceptable in Tesla's mind
Couldn't agree more that at night in conditions of snow, fog and mist the frunk light bar needs to be either turned off or turned down. Couple weeks back, I had a 3 hour drive to northern Vermont in a night time snow storm and I was wishing for a way to dim that frunk light bar.
I also think...
Had this issue. Especially when below 20 degrees F. Just got truck back from Service Center in Mount Kisco, NY (who are absolutely fantastic btw) and they agreed and adjusted the windows. Much better now. My VIN is in the 4000 range and I have 13k miles. YMMV
What about the issue of corrosion happening to the stainless when magnetic stickers are applied?
I wouldn't believe it, but I"ve had this happen on my trick. We had a small 6" round magnetic "sticker" for my kid's ski team and after about 1 month I removed it to find 5 or 6 spots of corrosion...
I actually ran into another CT owner at a supercharger in Hudson, NY who had done this exact same thing - had heavy snow on windshield and auto-wiper setting enabled. Wiper arm swiped and caused wiper blade to come off.
Be careful out there - seems like motor/arm delivers more torque than...
I've wondered the same, but not sure how to factor energy consumed while plugged-in and pre-conditioning. Seems to make a notable difference in range when temps are less than 20F
This is absolutely a thing. We've had temps below 10F here and the windows are not sealing correctly unless you fiddle with them. My solution has been to lower and raise the windows slightly several times - definitely helps and reseals the glass to the weatherstripping.
Keep the AT wheels for summer.
Buy some dedicated winter meats asap. Or the BFG K03.
The stock AT tires are not very good in snow and terrible on ice. They have very little tread depth.
I drive our CT to the winter wonderland of Vermont every weekend and have enough experience to say winter...
Wet winter roads + cold temps + salt spray = a deadly combination for CT windshield viz.
These conditions are absolutely the achilles heel of this wiper.
It simply doesn't work.
Doesn't spray enough fluid to clean fully.
I really wish it would spray in both directions.
Hoping for an...
Have the same issue - rear passenger window, early build.
Confirming the wind noise / air leak gets worse as temperature falls.
In fact, above 30 F it seems fine,
When temps go below 30 F the noise ramps
Below 10 F outside and it gets really loud
I actually put a service ticket in last week...
