One of the big car mags.. I think Motortrend?... had a discussion after the CT reveal. An older editor was talking about it, he had talked to the Tesla engineers, etc, and went over things that weren't said by Elon and co. at the reveal. A couple items stood out. One, was that the prototype...
Unlike most (all?) cars, the CT doesn't have a "kink" where the hood meets the windshield. No place to hide it. Stored horizontal it would be a drag nightmare. How they currently have it would reduce drag and also visually hide it from the interior along the a-pillar. There might be some...
Well, I view a 6% range penalty as minor. It's not like the Quad in this scenario has a smaller battery, and both have outstanding range if you're talking 470+. If we we're talking a 500mile Tri vs a 300 mile Quad, I'd go with the tri.
When I say I'd get the best CT I could afford, I'm...
I'll get the best one I can afford. I honestly don't know what model that is yet. But range is more important to me than acceleration, at least when you're talking Tesla acceleration. They're all fast.
Well, I think the Truck production will be 50% or less of capacity (previously said to be 250k per year), and we're talking half a year to reach 2024, so that's around 65k trucks if "mid 2023" means a full 6 months and they hit 50% capacity right away. Both are optimistic.
I think the demand...
I think a full-featured, quad motor Plaid Cybertruck will be the first production run, probably for all of 2023 and into 2024. It will be expensive, moreso than the Model S Plaid. This way they can maximize profits while they work out production bugs. It will also mean the first CT's out in...
My dad felt that way at 77. If it’s any consolation, he’s 88 now, still physically and mentally with it, still driving, and still likes to talk tech with me. Hopefully you have lots of time to enjoy your CT.
I will say I really like the Chevy. Great styling, love the midgate. And that is a real solid marketing clip. It would speak to the guys on my hockey team, who pretty much define the truck market.
They don't really need to send updates. We're all going to buy it anyway if we can. If we can't, someone else will. Sure, it would make me happy to get an email with a video, but I don't think they care. And to be clear, GM doesn't either, other than they are trying to sell you something...
People are going to agree or disagree on whether he's an issue based on whether they agree or disagree with the things he says. As such, this conversation will unfortunately go nowhere until it is sucked into the vortex of politics and the mods shut it down. I enjoy those political...
