I tried the weather stripping. Still got some dust inside. (I have almost 3 miles of gravel road to my house.)
I got a bed mat. None are long enough to ride up on the tailgate, but most do come right up to it.
I bought this tailgate seal...
Do. Not. Use. FSD. on snowy roads.
I drove 8 hours yesterday in mostly blizzard conditions. Besides intermittently seeing the center line and fog lines, it was slick. Lots of cars in the ditches. I was tired afterwards! I actually had to do the driving instead of FSD!
Need to turn off...
Just like mine! Chameleon! Changes with the seasons! Salt white for winter, brown mud for spring, gray dirt for summer...... More often than not, it's a mixture of all the above.
Your trucks are CLEAN! I live at the end of a three mile gravel road. Either it is "muddy" or it is dusty. Snowy winter roads and crud are just part of life here.
We had almost the same exact symptoms with my wife's Model X. Turning to the left, front clunking and/or grinding noise....intermittent and not always reproducible.
Service technician drove it and, as expected, nada. Then as he was turning into Tesla, there it was!
Three hours...
Interesting picture of the tailgate camera. Temperatures subzero Fahrenheit. No snow on roads, but roads coated with a spray. I think they use magnesium chloride and not a salt brine here in Iowa.
Looks like static or very high voltage pattern.
Winter driving is "easy" for us extreme northerners. We lived almost 6 years in Alaska, then 30 years in northern Minnesota (Bemidji). We know cold. We know snow. We just plan for it. It takes a little more planning with EV's.......
We just returned from a 1600 mile winter trip along I-90 in Minnesota & South Dakota. FSD 13.1 AWD Cybertruck. Temperature single digits Fahrenheit.
Westbound, we started out in a blizzard a couple hours before sunrise. NO problems with traction or headlight issues. When the snow...
Same here. I cancel FSD and report the problem. Also some speed limit signs are ignored. I cancel and report that too. Sure would be nice to slow down before getting abreast of lower speed limit sign.
I have driven 580 miles in the 36 hours I've had 12.5.5 FSD: Interstate, narrow country two-lane roads (with farm machinery), big city driving (rush hour), etc. SO MUCH better than 12.5.4 in my X. No phantom braking, no "close calls." It is aggressive on the stopping for stop signs, etc...
Proud owner of a new Cybertruck one week now! AMAZING vehicle!
I live very remote in the Iowa Driftless region. Our driveway is 3/4 mile long off of a longer dead-end road. All gravel. We are so remote, that we are off the grid with solar/battery. Perfect for our Tesla vehicles...
I picked up my AWD yesterday!!! Tactical gray at Maplewood, MN. This was their #30 delivery and the first tactical gray. Everyone ooo'd and ahhh'd over it. Everyone says that should have been the choice from the beginning. Most commented on how hard it was to keep the white clean...
Iowa used to be friendly for EV licensing. Five years ago a $900/year surcharge is now tacked onto annual licensing fees. EV’s are not green friendly, but GREENBACK friendly here in Iowa! Not much incentive to be green!
