Do you not care to have to cancel homelink when you come home because the doors are already open? Or go to leave and kids are outside and don't want them to close? You can also turn off geo fencing and use push button. Its $45. I do wish it was rolled into the premium cost.
Going out on a limb that its your garage door support
My 2018 S also had an AM radio. It's the future. MyQ works fine, if it doesn't it's likely your truck cell signal or more likely have an older opener that barely supports their own product. I have 0 issues with 1 opener 10 years old and 1...
Gotta disagree here that Homelink is better. It has no awareness of a door being open or closed. So with homelink id show up and it would close doors when I want them open. MyQ is $45 a year for a very expensive truck. And works with all doors and cars you have. I have Homeassistant too, but...
Not something I’m all that concerned about so I can’t say. Plus it’s still cold here in Ohio so range is all over the board. I mean it’s quite a bit heavier so it has some impact, can’t image it’s more than another passenger.
That definitely looks like great solution. Damn me for being first I would have done that. If for some reason I have to take the bumper off again I’ll be doing this.
My control box is different than yours, so I’m guessing you didn’t get the superwinch SX12R. Because for that one, when you detach the control box from the SW, the cables are long enough to run to the control box. Mine did come with a ground cable that’s long to run to the battery.
Since the OP was about the update in general and not FSD, I will say that FINALLY it seems Apple Music is working correctly. Remembering the song when I left the car, shuffle, etc. Maybe they moved off the beta Music site finally.
If you wired directly to the 48v, with the down regulator, when you turn the frunk on, that would charge the battery and turn on the lights, no good. You can run the push button switches to the cab, I might do that. That’s more normal for extra lights, what my Bronco has. But with the lack of...
The lights do have an on/off switch. That can mounted in the cab if desired. But the TS kit comes with key fobs to turn them on/off. 1 per set in my case. The wiring harness has a relay switch, they are not direct wired.
The lights will run off the battery. The charger…charges the battery whenever you need it, turn on frunk power. And you can download the charger app to see the draw.
This part of the bumper rests on the chassis, so there isn't much room under the lights. I wouldn't be surprised if button head light bolts are right on top.
Good write up for sure. The only thing I think is off would be the torque wrench range. The main bumper bolts, the 6 B's as I refer...
I would watch all the videos and take notes, that will speed things along. I watched the videos while I was doing it and constantly pausing.
Add lights to the side pods is doable, but you should pre-wire then. Doing the middle ones is not possible without removing the bumper and 3 skid...
As Temu has become an adjective for Chinese garbage, I’ll take your comment as a negative. If you don’t like the look, that’s fine. But if you are referring to the quality, you couldn’t be more wrong. I recommend you do your own research before blurting something offensive.
The 48v frunk supply can handle 400 watts, so if lights is all you have, even 8 HXB, you just need the 48v to 12v inverter. Or converter, not an electrical engineer. If you get a winch, you need a 12v battery to power that and then a 48v to 12v charger, which is what I did. All my lights and...
