Rivian R1T Refresh (Gen 2) Dethrones CyberBeast? 0-60 in 2.5s

That's funny because I leased an R1T because my wife said "If you park one of those ugly Cybertrucks in our driveway, I'm moving out of this house." And she was NOT joking. So now I have a Rivian truck, which she thinks looks fine. Only had it for two weeks and it's pretty nice, but I really...

Cybertruck vs Rivian R1T review from a long term owner

I'm looking at leasing an R1T in lieu of getting the Cybertruck. Been watching the Out of Spec videos and thinking the R1T might be the better deal and has overall better ratings/reviews from those who have reviewed the two vehicles.... Plus, now the R1T has a Dog Mode equivalent feature.

Selling Cybertruck - approval from Tesla required?

Yeah but they could lock your Tesla account and refuse to sell you another vehicle.... is that worth it?

    90% cancellation/postponement rate?

I agree your math is likely pretty close. I was thinking along the same lines, using the same logic.

CyberBEAST professionally tracked by Craig Coker from Unplugged Performance -- POV & review / takeaways

Did you see the brakes were overheated? So you are saying the brakes overheat because of the tires? Put on different tires and the brakes will be a cool as a cucumber? I don't think so.

Nationwide delivery HOLD on all CyberTruck. Accelerator issue possible

If there is a problem with a part, like the accelerator pedal, they should just delete it. The best part is no part.

Passivating my Cybertruck w/ CitriSurf 2310

There is iron in the stainless steel, but if you passivate it, you'll take the iron away from the exterior surface and leave a concentrated chromium layer, so you won't get the iron (rust) specs from the stainless being exposed to the weather.. That being said, you can still get iron dust on it...

Passivating my Cybertruck w/ CitriSurf 2310

Should last quite a while. But it can be repeated again later. The passivation does two things... removes the free iron from the surface and leaves an (iron free) very thin concentrated chromium layer on the surface.

Passivating my Cybertruck w/ CitriSurf 2310

After the citric treatment, the stainless should be rinsed with deionized/distilled water and allowed to air dry. As simple/trivial as this sounds, it's an important part of the passivation process. You could make up your own citric passivation solution by dissolving some citric acid in warm...

Time to end the Foundation series.

$20K price premium has me waiting. Thing is, that while I"m waiting, I'm also looking at the Ford Lightning and Chevy Silverado EV trucks. I just read that there will be a Chevy Silverado EV Truck later this year that will have a 20,000 pound tow rating. That significant additional towing...

Does anyone know when... the 20k worth of software for Foundation series will be uploaded to Cybertruck?

Tesla is probably more focused on making profits, rather than spending time (money) on giving people "stuff" they have already paid for. If you pay for something, all up front, don't be surprised if the seller takes their sweet time delivering what you already paid for..... Some early Model S...

    Braking power

Car and Driver Review said that brake fade was concerning for the F-150 Lightning in their testing. Think the Rivian did much better. Would be interesting to see how the CT compares to them. https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/ford-f-150-lightning-brake-test-overheating/

    Braking power

Yes. Trucks have brake fade too. Can make a big difference, in stopping distance, after brakes get a little hot. And 60-0 braking distance is arguably more important that the 0-60 sprint time in a truck.
