Yeah you should probably get that checked out. Mine can be hot after sitting in the sun but after a few minutes with the AC running the temp is fine. You can also pair a controller and use that for games. I paired my switch pro controller and it works great.

That's essentially correct. I pay a flat rate all the time for usage and get a flat credit back for excess that is only 1/3 the import cost so it's better for me to maximize how much solar I use myself vs exporting it.

I can tell you shortly after I got my truck last year I visited some friends that only had 120v outlets available. Leaving the truck in their garage to charge overnight at 12amps I would get about 1% per hour with ambient temps at 65f. Clearly not practical to use a 120v source as a range extender.

It's to wires under the trunk liner. If you want to use them you have to pull up the liner and terminate them for whatever you want. It is not a hidden outlet.
