GEICO just dropped me saying the Cybertruck is an exotic vehicle. Progressive, Liberty Mutual, GEICO, haggerty. All will not insure the vehicle. Allstate wouldn’t accept me because I wasn’t with GEICO for at least 5 years. State Farm was my only option. This is a big problem for those in NY
2019 I picked the trimotor to reserve. 2024 knowing I could get the dual motor about 8 months soon and save 20 grand that’s why I picked it. I have a plaid already and those cars are so fast I couldn’t imagine that acceleration in an enormous truck. Seemed dangerous and not worth the money IMO...
They offered me 29k for a 1 owner 2020 MX performance with 49k miles with an accident history. And $69k for a 1 owner 2022 MX Plaid with 18k miles.
I kept the plaid. Traded in the 2020 to Jeep for a PHEV wrangler. Got 9k off sticker and 40k on the trade-in.
Carmax offered me 38k
The perspective from the mirrors and cameras are very different. Backing up with the side view mirrors and rear camera work better than the side view cameras. Not a good idea to do IMO
Repaired by safelite today with resin. The tech couldn’t believe how high up the damage was. Pretty much said no way did a rock on the road cause it.
Mine will only be washed with soap and water. We’ll see how the NY winters treat it next year. I want the thing to tarnish and look aged like it came from space.
What’s the most impressive feature that people comment on? The steel…so why cover it? If it looks terrible in a couple years then I’ll...
I had a front runner system on my Jeep wrangler JK. Definitely the best available due to light weight and no rust issues because of it being aluminum. I would like to see the system being completely flat similar to this style with a slim light bar attachment point on the front.
