  1. CYBER TENT. 50 BUCKS ON AMAZON.

What was your setup to get it up off the bottom of the bed? I have gear and a spare. But I would love this setup!
  2. 🦾 Cybertruck doing truck stuff! Post your photos!

Took the Airstream out with the truck for Mother’s Day weekend. And yes, that’s sushi. Gas station sushi. I know, there’s a lot to unpack there!
  3. Would You BUY a CT again today?

This is fair. I didn’t mean for my earlier post to suggest lack of empathy for anyone not familiar with Tesla. I do think you raise a fair point about perception may be totally different for someone new to Tesla. I stand by the argument that nothing is new here; it’s happened with every...
  4. Would You BUY a CT again today?

Yes. Not a fan of the backlash from others regarding the politics or the look of the vehicle. I realize I might be on a bit of an island here loving the vehicle but not the biggest fan of the appearance. But I lean into that around others and happily throw myself out as a punching bag. On...
  5. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

I’m down 10-11% on my 2018 Model 3. Must be a battery chemistry issue on the older vehicles.
  6. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

I’ve had a Model 3 since 2018. The range loss really plateaus. If 7 years is long enough, my conclusion stands.
  7. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Correct and I don’t disagree. For an occasional (2-3 times a year) thing it’s truly not a big deal. That’s why I think the temper tantrums are a bit comical.
  8. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

First, I learned a 50 cal will penetrate the stainless steel. Now I learn there will not be a range extender. Next will be the fart button being taken away. Clearly this was a terrible, terrible purchase.
  9. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Driving into the mountains with a trailer, across the state of Texas, and towing a trailer around to a bunch of campouts does not make this a “cruise around town” truck. Sorry, that’s just not right. But okay. The most I ever charged was 70 minutes. That was so I could hit 200+ miles from...
  10. Range Extender Officially Cancelled!

Sorry. I disagree. Truck is fine as is. Sure, would be nice to have a bigger battery pack. Sure, it would be nice to have a faster curve. There will ultimately be a faster curve. But… I’ve driven to CO (with and without a trailer), have driven from Dallas down to the tip of Texas. Have...
  11. Barkeepers +windex

It starts gradually changing immediately. I’d say a couple/few months and you’ll notice the difference if you put pictures side by side.
  12. Cybertruck Range please answer below.

Of all o the stalls I’ve charged at while towing, I bet I’ve only had to disconnect 25-30% of the time. Granted, this could be because I live in Texas where chargers aren’t as filled as the coasts. But still, the vast majority of the time I don’t need to disconnect. In time, that will be...
  13. Range when towing?

Also, consider trickle charge off a 110 to maintain your charge level if you use sentry.
  14. Range when towing?

Keep at 50 and I think you’ll be fine. How long will you be there? Be mindful of sentry drain if it’s overnight. I’ve never had under 100 miles when towing my airstream, but that’s a little lighter (7k) but more importantly much more aerodynamic. speed is your biggest factor. Slow down and...
  15. Cybertruck Range please answer below.

There are too many factors to meaningfully help you with this. Temp, speed, tires, wind, load, etc. I’ve easily achieved over 300 as well as under 200. Unsure if this is your first EV, but this is all part of it. Not unlike gas mileage scenarios that has its own factors as well.
  16. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

I don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish. I feel confident we can come up with a set of assumptions that will achieve failure. 100% confident. But I don’t know how that is useful. An ICE vehicle has an increased risk of explosion if you push a lit cigarette into the gas tank...
  17. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

And we haven’t even gotten into single axle vs double axle, which also impacts dynamic forces. Most people with very heavy loads will have a double (or triple) axle rather than single, which produces lower dynamic forces on the hitch.
  18. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

Agree it would be nice. Though Tesla seems to be installing charging stations in such large numbers now that pulling in across is often not a problem. this was from this morning:
  19. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

Except it does so in a results-oriented presentation. Which is why it’s borderline clickbait as opposed to truly helpful.
