Steering Wheel Loud Click (when turning lightly to the left)

mine was an early one so hopefully they’ve sorted some of these common issues out

Steering Wheel Loud Click (when turning lightly to the left)

My only complaint with this truck has been the constant chasing of dash rattles, center console creaks, seat squeaks, clicks, etc... Mine has been in to the SC probably 6 times for different noises. I can’t stand little noises in the car and are used to Tesla’s being so quiet… Good news is...

Steering Wheel Loud Click (when turning lightly to the left)

Mine was doing this. If you grab the plastic housing surrounding the steering column and push it up to try and slightly move its resting position it can go away. Mine did. I eventually had a service appt for something else and had them dive into it and SC fixed it.

SMH….Worst Cybertruck Owner? [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

perhaps they are removable Velcro or some sort of cling, and these are cheap insurance when needing to park in areas vulnerable to vandalism? just a thought. I go to Oakland all the time and having a removable cling anti-musk sticker crossed my mind for cheap insurance against graffiti and...

Towing a Boat/Dropping in Water Advice

First, good for you for thinking ahead. No one wants to end up on Qualified Captain swimming above their CT… Here’s a quick checklist, never let me down, probably 1000 launches. 1) Find a competent friend or family member to back the boat off the trailer and put them in the drivers seat at the...

Towing to places you do not have the range for.

Thank you! I suppose there the unhitch and charge and go back option in a pinch. Hadn’t thought of that…

Towing to places you do not have the range for.

Planning a camping trip to Burney falls in CA and towing the family boat, which weighs about 5500lb with trailer. Looking at a section between superchargers that is 57 miles but a 2600’ elevation gain. I typically get about 150-185 miles ish towing flat with the boat. Think I can make that...

    Cantrail Recall Done

Unfortunately it’s not the labor. The Stek PPF material is $500 for a 10’ roll I believe. And you need 10’ for the cant rail.

    Cantrail Recall Done

Pretty simple. Tesla SHOULD compensate for the wrap redo because it’s the right thing to do. Do they have to, legally, probably not. Will they? Probably not…

    This rattle is killing me..

This has been the only real issue with the CT. Center console squeaking, side driver pillar creaks, dash rattles. Mike has been to the SC 5 times for these noises. All are fixed except one dash rattle I haven’t been able to replicate but think I’ve sourced for the next appt. Tesla has taken...

NEED ADVICE - Method Wheels + 35"X12.5" tires Will they fit?

Ended up with Fuel Rush 18x9 +20mm offset, with Toyo Open Country AT3 35x12.5ā€. Ever so slight rub at full lock at the front and back ONLY when the truck is in ENTRY low. I got that to go away with a little heat gun.

OEM Crossbars versus MARS Adventure Gear

I don’t want racks on all the time so I love how easily the OEM bars are to install and remove. 3 minutes max. I do highly recommend some t slot mounts on the sides given there aren’t any connection points on the bars themselves, which is problematic for the forward bar above the cabin. I got...

Do you live with squeaks and rattles?

Not once and they’ve given me a newer model X each time and have been very accommodating. $100k truck owner shouldn’t have to live with squeaks and rattles. I’m too used to the quiet solid feel of the Teslas.
