Not one of it was political, it's just what happened and it's fact. I didn't express an opinion on whether it was good or bad; that would be political. Just a straight line, regulation occurred, business changes happened, that's it. Were they good or bad business changes? Is ACA right or...

I did point to a specific thing, and I didn't blame it, a medical office manager told me this. And not just ONE medical office manager. Aside from my doctor, our largest client is...drumroll...a medical billing outsource company. ACA requirements were great for them, and for us, as they...

That's untrue; insurance or not, the new coding requirements were still problematic. But hey, what the hell would his wife know about it, she'd only been a medical office manager for 20 years. Having access to firearms makes most communities safer, but not all.

500 mile Cybertruck is a must

An F350 is basically just a 250; same basic chassis. Maybe you mean the F450/550/650?

Slipstreaming EV's - A viable pathway to extending range via OTA?

Sorry, didn't mean to argue, but to back up the concepts you posted. It's coming. As usual, the greatest stumbling block is humans not "trusting" it. Or just plain old fear.

500 mile Cybertruck is a must

My personal position is that Hybrids are the worst of both worlds, and I have absolutely zero interest. My brother has had an old Prius for a while and loved it (well until someone took it out being an idiot in traffic). He's a mechanic and was able to repeatedly fix the battery.

Slipstreaming EV's - A viable pathway to extending range via OTA?

Vehicle comms were approved on 5.9GHz as a 75MHz DSRC band. It is by design very limited in range and fairly directional. My best friend has deployed a bunch of it around Phoenix. And UofA has had test areas with it for probably 10-15 years. So it was of course designed as a way to help human...

Neither medical care nor killing injured animals have any politics at all. Politicians have limited our choices on both in many places, that doesn't make it political. I should ask my doctor how he identifies. I know he's at least a bit pro government funding, but the ACA's complexity forced...

Slipstreaming EV's - A viable pathway to extending range via OTA?

Apparently nobody is aware of V2V and V2I communications. Volvo already does V2V which can proactively slow down cars far behind the one car that sees a problem. https://www.verizonconnect.com/resources/article/connected-vehicle-technology-v2v-v2i-v2x/

"You know those battery packs are actually worse for the environment than gas and diesel?" Yup! I got it to own the libs! Don't let those fuckers win!

I suppose the nuclear engineer who explained the challenges of changing output could have been wrong, and got his NRC badge from a Cracker Jack box. But either way, the point is that we have excess power at night, by a huge margin.

I want my gay married neighbors to be able to use full auto assault weapons to protect their marijuana crops and keep all the money they make from it.Anything less is not liberty. I am perplexed by right wing nuts who think we need to regulate vaginas. but the EV thing seems to have opponents...

Cybertruck is waterproof enough to serve as a boat to cross rivers, lakes & calm seas -- confirms Musk 🚤

I'm fine with 35C but I'd immediately move if it was under 35F.

High EV usage would be *good* for the grid in my area. Most of our power is nuke (also why it's insanely cheap). Nuclear plants can't easily ramp up and down for loads. Charging EVs at night or early morning would just take the surplus we have, because we have to make enough for the daytime...

So many morons. EVs aren't the answer to all of life's problems, but also, 95% of the "information" against them is made up billshit. This week it's been: How are you going to charge your EV when a hurricane takes the power out? As if gas stations still work with no power. BUT! Solar still...

Now I’m going to have to get some Mexican food before riding to the shooting range today. The closest Mexican sandwich joint is the other direction though.
