Yeah, you're right. Insurance cuts a check for the value of your car, they don't buy you a new one. I don't know what I was thinking (my wife is in insurance, I should know better🤪)
For those wanting more details about tanker "crash"

Considered a crash by the general public and the owner of the plane, among us pilots, anything you can walk away from is called a "landing"! 🤣
Thankful...
Those scratches look almost identical to ones I had on my Jeep (albeit closer to my trailer hitch) The one on the right is from the hitch flying up when the load drove up on the back of the trailer, the left one from when it came crashing back down after I backed my tractor back off.
🤣 I feel ya'. I'm only 6'3" but since I keep a pair of readers on my head at all times, everytime I get into my wife's MS they crush into skull against the sun visor. 😫
My '82 Bronco, with its vinyl seats and floorboards, was cleanable with a fire hose!!! It was a wonderful mudder so the ease of clean up was one of its greatest features.
I'd never heard of Capitola until your post, then awoke to this "The History Guy" video suggested in my YouTube feed.
Do you know anyone who was there in '61? 😱
Teslas (or other EVs) would be wonderful Battalion Chief's vehicles and medical squads. We already plug into shore power each time we return to the station just to be sure the battery stays charged at all times anyway so Level II (or even Level I) would keep the battery at its ideal charge...
Original plan: Buy the CyberTruck to pull our full-timer-RV after retirement. Put my wife's pre-AutoPilot Model S on Turo and my FSD Model 3 into the RoboTaxi fleet to supplement our income.😃🤑
Latest reality: The wife's getting cold feet about full-timer-RVing 😕
I still want to go RVing so the...
I'm afraid it doesn't make you SOUND old, it makes you ACTUALLY old*. I can't imagine that anyone under 50 knows about the existence of curb feelers.
*Like me. 👴🏻
Is there anyone who has Tesla Insurance for similar vehicles with FSD purchased as well as FSD not purchased? I'm in a non-Tesla Insurance state and hope it comes to Arkansas soon. I'm curious whether Tesla has different rates for cars with and without FSD. I'm less interested whether using FSD...
Normal?!?
Normal rockets don't land*
*invoking the Godwin's Law of Tesla physics. Anytime anyone suggests that Tesla can't do something, landing rockets will eventually be mentioned! 🤣
You can't be sure from this photo. There's no way to tell if those tires are as far forward as they can go. All the recent photos show the tonneau not fully open, so there may be a few more inches forward they can go to fit under the cover. 🤷🏽
The other confounder is that those may be the...

I don't write the dictionary, I just reference it. Go argue with Funk, Wagnalls, Webster, et al.
That Tesla and other automakers...
The big difference as to why Model 3 ramp probably won't be representative of the CyberTruck ramp is that the CyberTruck line won't have to be shoehorned into inadequate space at an already overcrowded factory. It took "tents" in the parking lot to get Model 3 to their desired capacity...
"Production" and "mass production" can mean whatever you want them to mean, depending on what point you're trying to make.
CyberTruck has been "in production" since the first parts were arranged to build the one they revealed in 2019.
"Mass production" can mean the first time the production...
