  1. Cybertruck steel body can be superheated to different colors

I just don't think this is going to be a viable option. I'm not a metallurgist, but I would think heating up this proprietary cold rolled 30X stainless steel would decrease the integrity of the intended purpose of this metal, hence, not making it do what it's supposed to do. When you heat...
  2. Actual Completion Day

Yes, the CT production will be A LOT quicker than other Tesla vehicles due to the exoskeleton. How simple of a production line will that be. One big chunk of steel and then robotically attach a bunch of parts to it.....super fast!
  3. Actual Completion Day

Agreed!! The CT and Semi should take priority over anything. I believe these are the types of vehicles that people want!
  4. Actual Completion Day

Does anyone else feel that CT orders will be completed quicker than anticipated? The factory has already been started and it sounds like they will be using prefab concrete. I read Q3 for completion of the factory, which seems ridiculous. Also, with new advanced assembly methods they are...
  5. Cybertruck Has a Texas Home! Musk Announces Gigafactory Texas For Cybertruck Production!

What if you are trading something in? Maybe they give you both options?
  6. Recent Rivian vids (ads) about offroad capabilities are astonishing

All you Rivian fans go ahead and cancel your pre-order so I can move up on the roster!!:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:
  7. Headlights

So last night I was driving home from a baseball game and a couple thoughts occurred to me. It was dark out and my wife and I counted 10 near misses with deer. Typically you keep your high beams on to see the deer better. With the CT, the entire front of the truck is a headlight. I'm...
  8. Preparing your Spouse for Imminent Acceleration

My wife already hates the CT and I haven't even got it yet. She thinks it's ugly. REALLY hoping there are features that she will like. She doesn't like going fast in our boat either, so I can about imagine how this is going to go....:D:D I keep trying to throw out cool things every once in a...
  9. Iowa

Hey Shannon, I'm close by ya. New Hampton. I ordered the dual motor. Not too many of us in the area that have one ordered. Just though I'd touch base. Anyhow, I'm curious....does the CT come with a charger? Or do you have to buy it separately? Curious also about what it would cost to...
  10. What is your biggest Cybertruck question you'd like answered by Tesla before committing to purchase?

Remember that this IS stainless steel, but there also appears to be another "ingredient" in this secretive exoskeleton. I have to believe that Elon has already thought this "rusting" thing through. I could be wrong, but Elon has over a 150 IQ. :)
  11. Cybertruck will make public debut at Petersen Auto Museum in LA beginning From June 20-27!

I'd rather have a production version with all the bells and whistles. :)
  12. Auto Insurance on the Cybertruck

I guess my point is more of the fact that it won't damage easily. I mean if you can take a sledge hammer to it and not dent....the odds of doing any repairs is slim to none from a vehicle damage standpoint. Say for example if you hit a deer. It's going to be a really bad day for the deer and...
  13. What is your biggest Cybertruck question you'd like answered by Tesla before committing to purchase?

Yes, that way if you want to put a full 4 x 8 sheet of drywall/plywood/OSB you can. :)
  14. Auto Insurance on the Cybertruck

I have a hard time believing that. You would think the safer the vehicle, the cheaper the insurance is. I wonder if Tesla Insurance would have it cheaper?
  15. Possible EMP Protection

I didn't think configuration options were available yet? At least with my order it isn't. Unless you are referring to a different Tesla vehicle?
  16. Auto Insurance on the Cybertruck

I'm not sure how cheap insurance is on the current Tesla vehicles, but I'm thinking the CT will be pretty cheap insurance. The body won't dent, the glass is bullet proof, tons of safety features, the vault will provide security as it will be tough to break into, and the current Tesla vehicles...
  17. Cybertruck (Orders) Demand Would Take 3-4 Years Production to Fulfill Says Musk

According to Munro, the CT will be able to be produced WAY faster than the RAM or the F-150 because of fewer components and a technologically advanced production line. According to some websites I've seen, there were 900,000 F-150's made in 2019. I'm guessing Tesla could produce arount 1.5...
  18. What is your biggest Cybertruck question you'd like answered by Tesla before committing to purchase?

This may sound strange, but my final purchase decision was completely based on a successful launch of the SpaceX Dragon. I figure if they can build a space craft that puts people in space....imagine what the Cybertruck will be like and how well it will be put together. I pulled the trigger...
  19. EV's - Self Charge as Wheel turns

Why can't this be a thing? The battery puts the vehicle in motion. While in motion, why can't the wheel generate electricity and recharge the battery? I've got a radio at home that can charge by the sun as well as charge by turning the hand crank.
  20. Cybertruck launching boat...

Hoping the CT will/could be amphibious. :)
