Yes I remember that and it wasn't horrible. The point is that the motor technology has evolved and we are now beyond having to open and close the gate manually. There is significant utility when having a gate that can be opened and closed remotely, hands-free. Plus, people have complained about...
The icon for the tailgate is concerning because it reads that you can only push the button to deploy the gate, but cannot retract it (similar to Rivian). Hope it is for both open, close, and is motorized.
Glad to hear the frunk is most likely powered.
I hope the same goes for the tailgate. The button in the rear with the downward pointing arrow has me concerned.
I don't remember exactly when but it was shortly after CyberRodeo - so Spring-Summer 2022. This might have been the CT that Franz drove onto the stage and Elon drove off.
Edit: Corrected year.
From the unofficial tracker (at least) I think the split was something like:
40% Tri
40% Dual
20% Single
Plenty of demand on the high-end to keep more features. I'm sure there would also be a good amount of modularity between trims that Tesla could also take stuff out to keep the pricing...
The improvements on the new 3 are impressive. The only thing I don't like is the front headlights and bumper from an aesthetic perspective. The rear lights look great and I like how they made the 5th seat headrest a fixed one that's shaped.
That driver's display was very real. It was on the version of CT that was driven on stage at CyberRodeo in April of last year. I wish they had kept it since the experience of driving and monitoring FSD and Autopilot on the driver's display is way better than having everything crammed onto a...
Makes sense. I'm assuming this e-mail was sent much earlier on in CT's development. It's essentially adding QA throughout all steps of the manufacturing program. This is what Toyota did with kaizen and then Total Quality Management during the occupation. This was the opposite of Henry Ford who...
I spent a month in NZ last year driving all over North and South Islands in a rented M3 SR. Where are the nice places to go 4-wheeling? I would get off the state highways and take roads less traveled; would find myself on logging roads most of the time.
When I was staying in Queenstown, I...
FYI the all the pics (and possibly the video) herein are from @triggertx on IG. Credit should be given where credit is due. Plus he was kind enough to answer all sorts of questions and has an off-road background.
He had concerns about the upper A-arm rubbing with the tire when spun - such that...
Maybe the material the sleeve is made out of has changed or it was painted. It is quite noticeable in photos so they decided to black it out instead.

For those of you who have asked, Tesla is adopting MCS for Semi (maybe CT?). From what I recall though, the updated connector is triangular as shown:
The square one is V2 while triangular is V3.
As far as CT is concerned, the inlet is a lot smaller and maybe could fit where we're seeing the...
