was thinking the same, with the CT there is no paint to protect so no need for the expense of PPF
I was planning on trying a DIY wrap on my Model 3, but all those compound curves put me off, so Iām saving the wrap to do my Cybertruck when it arrives.
its not the MSRP that tells you if there's a demand problem. It's the stealership markup amount that tells you that. It used to be $20K, wonder what it is now ?
Some big names have been working on it too, but looking far beyond just making range better. This one helps with the parking too.

strange that they have raw material supply deals with at least four major suppliers, they have dedicated the entire NW portion of GF-Texas to nothing but 4680 production plus pack assembly.
GF-Texas has an entire plant dedicated to cathode production and they are building their own lithium...
Isn't that the great thing about surveys - that fictional driver who only drives <50 miles a day which was used to justify the crazy low range of the first EVs. Personal experience, I owned a gen-1 Leaf :ROFLMAO:
Sorry to divert onto a completely OT discussion :sneaky:
wasn't trying to be snippy, just failing at humor.
Funnily enough, someone on TMC just quoted some common research on truck owner usage for towing. Seems that 75% use their truck to tow once a year or less. It was the economics of those folks I was pointing out.
I didn't realize that sedans had such a serious range limitation, someone should let the folks in Europe know that before they find themselves stranded. :geek:
Seriously though - that is that standard argument for why US drivers justify what they buy, just in case they might have a need to...
yep - towing is really common in Europe with no regard to the vehicle type. When I was a kid, almost every sedan my dad owned had a hitch and we had two or three different sized trailers.
It makes so much sense for the occasional use of not filling your car with crud.
The US version is to...
sooo, you want someone else to walk up to another persons truck and start leveraging bits off it?
I'm sure that would go down really well - and be recorded on SentryCam.
Betting the list of volunteers is short . . .
I'm a newbie here (been on TMC for many years)
How do you get all these pics? Or do you have a script grabbing every image of a Cybertruck on the internet.:geek:
I'd missed that.
Not sure, but on the left and right sides, in the shadows you can see two labels attached to something that could be actuators. Complete WAG.
Like a much more sturdy version of the Model 3 Charge door?
tesla-model-3-charge-port.jpg
yep :D
Kind of like the HOA who complained to the Rivian owner due to their rules disallowing pickups on driveways - its going to take a while for folks to adjust to the new normal that happens every time Tesla release a new model. Which will be fodder for years in the forums
I still...
The important thing about not having a powered frunk is that youāll get fingerprints or even worse, handprints on that pristine stainless.
That will be too much for some folks to stand
[edit due to automistake correcting Frunk to Drunk ]
Not excuse in the slightest.
We have some folks complaining that it wonāt work as a work truck - but a work truck is usually missing half its paint and covered in rust. The CT is significantly hardier than your standard work truck.
Then we have the faction that wants to treat the CT like a fancy...
That seems to be more gas damped than powered.
The open certainly seemed to be more hand assisted than powered.
So many edits going on itās hard to keep up.
Iād love it to be true, but the realist in me is whispering that you canāt confirm anything until we either see it for real or Tesla tells us.
