These settings configure a speed at which you will get a warning, if YOU are driving. This has nothing to to with FSD.
There seems to be tons of confusion about this.
I broke both tabs on the Glare Shield despite knowing they break easily. I just pushed everything back together and ordered a new Glare Shield. It's still sitting in my closet. We're on a road trip now with 14.2.2.2. So far we've put 1100 miles on the truck and I drove about 5 of those...
I was getting continual warnings about the camera being obscured, so I gave it a shot.
I was doing pretty good, but I still broke both tabs on the glare shield, in spite of the warning. After cleaning the glass, I managed to snap everything else together for the time being and it seems to hold...
Actually, the original purpose of COP was safety. That's why it's under the Safety menu in the vehicle.
This was a statement from Tesla (Elon, I think) in 2016:
"In an industry-first safety measure, we're also introducing Cabin Overheat Protect, focused on child (and pet) safety," said Tesla...
We've had ours for 6 months and put over 11k miles on it. I've washed it twice. The stainless looks just fine with some dirt and spots on it. It's a truck. A really tough truck at that.
Once every few months I will actually use soap and a long brush. The rest of the time I just use Sprayway glass cleaner on the stainless panels ... and the windows.
More to the point, it's EV drivers that chew through tires. I have 8,000 miles on the OEM Pirellis and they have almost no tread wear.
FYIW, I replaced our Model Y OEM Continentals at 75k miles and they still had 5/32 tread left.
This is where I am. Everyone loves to ask, "how far can you go on a charge?". The honest answer is, as far as I want to go ... which is about 150 miles because I'm going to stop anyway.
I'm in NW Florida. Almost 2 months now, and nothing but good comments. Kids love this thing. Spent two weekends in south Georgia. People love it there. Random strangers saying "love your truck!". Not a single hater.
I just ordered a longer CCS adapter from EVBase. I have occasionally been using a Circle K CCS charger in a small Georgia town and want the same option for our brand new Cybertruck.
