... uhhh.. you guys apparently don't know that Chevy will lose more than 60k with each Silverado EV that they sell, and Tesla will make money on every CT they sell? Ya didn't know that, apparently.
I charge to 100% routinely when I travel or tow. I grab a bite to eat and a drink, or, take a nap or eat in the trailer-- boom at 100%. What's the rush?
I usually get about 200-250 with my Plaid X because I'm an aggressive driver, like those that tested CT. And they should at some point roll out the next gen 4680 battery for CT-- hopefully before I get mine. They're using the stockpile of older 4680's that they've been making over the past year.
Thats what I get with my Plaid-- what a lead foot will give you. He mentioned he drives aggressively, similar to me. Most will not drive 85 with 100- 150mph bursts every once in a while.
You guys are getting all bent out of shape on the earliest models. 4680 next gen battery is coming soon, v4's will actually come on line, and all of this gnashing of teeth will have been long forgotten.
When you travel, 100% is totally acceptable. Don't be afraid of it on trips. As long as you don't leave it at that level for long, you're fine. I just drove SR-71 (the name of my plaid X) from Cali to Tennessee and back via the CT event in Austin, and stopping in Santa Fe on the way home...
You charge at home while you sleep at night-- wake up its 100% for your trip. You charge at an RV park wake up and it's 100% to head back or to next destination. Charge while you have a meal and a drink, come back out your 100%. Charge while you nap or an encounter with the better half, wake...
real world use of 75% of pack, bruh. Bruh? Are ya high? Start out with 100% what's wrong witcha! Plan on 3-10% when you hit the next charger. Stop whoosing out.
I was worried about the range extender being in the way of the SpaceCamper. Here is their response:
"While we were a bit surprised at Tesla's placement for the range extender nothing in our design will be affected by it. If you choose to get a range extenter it will take up some space in the...
