Joytutus also makes a custom fit CT tent you can get from Amazon. I made a YouTube video featuring it. it takes about 20ish minutes to setup though. I like the setup from Aggietruck2002 a lot more and I'm in the process of buying the mount now. The tent should be here next week.
This just happened to me for the first time and I wasn't sure what to do.....so I just rolled down my window and gave a thumbs up. The other guy did the same thing back.
Now that I've done the setup a couple times it's pretty easy. Maybe 20 minutes solo and 15 minutes if I have someone else to help. The first time took me an hour but I can be thick headed lol.
Good question about having it raised, I'm not sure. The only issue could be the side flaps not being long enough to keep water from getting into the bed if it rained.
There is an opening so you can access the outlets and there is a mess to let in light from the lights on both sides.
It did come with a bag but I threw it away. I'm using a 27 gallon plastic tote so I can throw the tent in it without any hassle. I've always found the tent bags are pretty small once you do the initial unpack. It makes camp clean up much easier in the morning when you can just pull the tent...
So it absolutely dumped rain during the night and no leaks at all! The awning collected some water near one of the poles but I just pushed from the bottom to clear it out in the morning.
As for the bed, the dimensions are 50" by 74" so the bed literally fits perfectly in the bed with the...
Hey everyone! I wanted to share my Cybertruck camping setup with you all. I recently picked up the Joytutus Tent/awning from Amazon for $299.99 and it worked out great. The setup was actually pretty simple and only took me about 15 minutes to get the main tent area setup in the bed. For my...
The CT handles really well in the snow. We had about a 18" come down this weekend and I was able to get around fine. There is a mission critical problem though, at night, the frunk light bar reflects the snow coming down and basically blinds you. I could only see about 5/10 feet in front of...
Same issue in Buffalo last night. Could not see at all with the light reflecting off the snow. I'm getting some tape for light bar today. To be honest I feel like a tool doing that when this should be a software update to toggle it off...
Same issue in Buffalo last night. This is actually dangerous with the lack of visibility. I'm getting some black electrical tape, but what the hell? Tesla just give me a toggle on the screen!
Wow, I just experienced this last night in Buffalo, NY with some lake effect snow. This is a huge problem everyone. The truck handled like a dream in the snow but it didn't matter because I could only see about 5/10 feet in front of me. Tesla really needs to just add an option to turn it off...
