My first EV was a BMW i3 with range extender which was a similar concept to what you're trying to do. It had a BMW motorcycle engine in the back which acted as a generator. The key thing it did which I think you'll have problems with is that it could generate while the vehicle was being used.
That is a great price. I was offered $68k trade in value on my spotless foundation series (w/spare, rear storage, cargo divider), but am holding out for a higher value. Its the best car I've ever owned, but the attention is too much.
So this also includes lifetime free supercharging for the foundation series, but what about original foundation series owners, do we now get free supercharging as well? I don't use it much but it would be nice.
Thank you, that was very helpful. I think that waiting for more scratches before refinishing makes sense. I wonder if we'll see this as an offering from detail shops at some point.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Here is a picture, and I would agree that its probably better defined as a large scratch and not a chip. Each of those spots is probably 3mm wide.
I have a small chip on my hood. It’s pretty small, but it definitely penetrated the surface of the hood. My gut feeling is just to leave it alone but would bar keepers friend or some light sanding help?
Update: Received VIN yesterday (March 18th).
Its funny because I received the VIN the day after I registered here. That's all you have to do I guess :)
