  1. Will the Cybertruck fit in automated Car Washes?

Hey, a brushed steel look might be good. ;) Actually as Elon has hinted that the production version could be up to 3% smaller than the prototype, it should fit car washes and most garages.
  2. Elon Musk suggests Cybertruck is not happening this year

You could be right, but my bet is second half of 2022 for initial CT deliveries. The speed that Giga Texas is being built makes me think the CT portion of the factory will see structure completion by Q4 2021 and initial CT production in early 2022. In any event I will probably be waiting at...
  3. Connectivity to make your Tesla work? You already bought the car once, basically now have to pay to make the car radio work?

Premium connectivity is for me (and I believe many owners) totally unnecessary. The radio works without it, and basically it only provides internet access when away from wifi connectivity. You will still need wifi connectivity to receive software updates. As to other potential upgrades, those...
  4. Elon Musk says Starlink internet service should be ‘fully mobile’ by the end of this year

What has not been mentioned is the need for a more mobile friendly Starlink antenna for RVs and yachts. In my opinion the current generation of the Starlink dish, while great for fixed locations, is not suitable for applications where the dish would be mounted to a vehicle in motion. For RVs...
  5. When to install the garage charger for your CT

I agree that a limit of 48 amps can be too slow for some owners. Level 2 charging is always limited by what the charger in the vehicle can handle. Hopefully Tesla will have a charger in the CT that can handle 70+ amps. But I doubt it based on what they are using in their other vehicles.
  6. Cybertruck wishlist - options or ideas you'd like to see available?

I wonder if your aftermarket concept is possible as the wiring and electronics to handle charging 2 packs and power delivery for all the applications could be quite complex.
  7. When to install the garage charger for your CT

The elephant in the room is that we have no idea what charger Tesla will put in the Cybertruck for level 2 charging. Early model S had the option to have 2 chargers and handle 80 amp. My 2018 MS can accept 72 amp. I believe most new Teslas are in the 32-40 amp range. I think Tesla believes...
  8. Elon Musk suggests Cybertruck is not happening this year

If you are watching the "quad squad" videos and the info in those from Tegtmeyer, the Model Y portions of the factory appear to be approaching structural completion. The portions for the CT are just going up now. Thus it is reasonable to assume MY production will start several months before...
  9. When to install the garage charger for your CT

I think you may not have fully read the instructions that came with the wall charger. Tesla's wall charger (also called a destination charger at hotels) is capable of handling input of up to 100 amps of 240 volt single phase power. It's max output amperage is controlled by a small selector...
  10. What is this in the CyberTruck bed?

If you look closely and carefully at the revel video you can notice that the tailgate ramp is hidden under a hinged flap on the end of the tailgate. It is easy to miss that detail in the video. Also as we never see more than 1 CT in the wild at any time, I think there could only be 2 of the...
  11. When to install the garage charger for your CT

As I already have a wall charger for my Model S with the 24ft cable, this is not an issue for me. For those who do not already own a BEV, I would suggest installing a wall charger or 40-50amp 240volt outlet about as soon as you are able to configure and finalize your CT order. The CT like all...
  12. This site has affected my thought processes – not necessarily for the better

In my opinion, the tri-motor CT would be great for towing larger trailers, but that is not my use case. For me the dual motor version should be adequate as my main thing is to be able to get around in the winter when the roads can be slick. FSD option is preferable as stated previously, but I...
  13. How will Cybertruck fare in mud-bogging?

If you have do deal with mud or some other slick condition, I think your choice of tires could have a serious impact on the performance of a Cybertruck. At this time we have no idea what Tesla will provide as standard tires on the CT. I believe what was shown on the original prototype could...
  14. This site has affected my thought processes – not necessarily for the better

I was not aware of this website until I stumbled upon it while searching for more info & opinions on the Cyberlandr camper concept. While I am not generally a “truck guy”, I have owned a few trucks (3) in the distant past. In late 2014 I decided it was time I finally became more...
  15. My Interview with Cyberlandr Camper Co-Founders (Video)

A great interview! I just wonder if the Cyberlandr design can be finalized to where production can be started before there is a production Cybertruck available to test it on? I hope so or the idea of getting your Cybertruck delivered with a Cyberlandr pre-installed disappears for any CT...
  16. Rumor: Tesla working with 3M to custom wrap Cybertruck from the factory

I could be out of line here, but I don't see any need for wrapping the stainless steel exoskeleton. To me it seems like a totally absurd waste of money.
  17. If Tesla can raise pre existing Tesla roof contract, what to stop them from raising the pre orders of CT?

In summary of what has been said: You currently have a reservation that allows you the option to configure & order a CT, NOT a signed purchase contract. Until you have a finalized order, nothing is guaranteed.
  18. Wonder if the Mexican Cartels Will Ever Try to Steal Cybertrucks to bring South of the Border.........

[offtopic rant]As one who years ago helped setup and run a forum board, it is sad to see that a discussion related to an item of common interest (CT) can devolve into a political argument. It seems people cannot keep from expressing their political views where such comments really do NOT...
  19. Tesla transition to solid state batteries

In my opinion, Tesla is already halfway there with their 4680 dry electrode process. Remember that solid state batteries just means replacing liquid or gel electrolytes with a solid material. At this time solid state battery is mostly hype as nobody has demonstrated a reliable, energy dense...
  20. Interview with Cyberlandr Camper's creators!

If you check out their website, they indicate they do plan to make a dolly that would allow removal and storage of the camper. They also suggest using 2 people to remove it, but say 1 could do it. At 1200+ pounds I think it could be somewhat of a hassle to remove from / install into the CT vault.
