  1. Tailosive EV: "Why I'm Worried About the Cybertruck"

While the points mentioned in the video are worth being aware of and worth consideration, I think the real major bottlenecks will be: 1) insufficient battery supply; and 2) chip shortages.
  2. Anyone else shake their head when the other manufactures talk about tech?

As I see it, the other car companies are trying desperately to appear relevant as they try to figure out how to invest in electromobility and what to do with their archaic stranded assets (ICE production). Unfortunately most want to continue to pump out high margin gas guzzlers rather than...
  3. Will the global chip shortage impact Cybertruck deliveries?

True. Battery cell availability is becoming a major factor limiting EV production. These 2 factors are going to severely slow the transition to electromobility. ?
  4. Who Else is Hoping for a Redesign for Wife's Acceptance?

There have been several comments here that the final design took 1.5 years. I think that is a false assumption. In my opinion the lack of a factory to produce the vehicle along with battery supply limitations are the major reasons for the delay. Also consideration of various reactions to the...
  5. Iowa

Currently, probably not. I have had an order for 3 powerwalls pending for over a year. Tesla is prioritizing orders for megapack and solar w/powerwall only. I believe this is more evidence of a shortage of battery cells.
  6. CyberLandr Camper / Overlander Concept for Cybertruck [$150M reservations as of 2/24/23]

As I see it, they are trying to raise around $1.2 million (or more) in pre-order deposits to fund a production facility. They state they will produce the product near Giga Texas, but do not indicate if they have secured a location. The fact they have 5 patents either secured or in process...
  7. Will the global chip shortage impact Cybertruck deliveries?

Do you think the current chip (integrated circuit) shortage that is impacting all vehicle manufacturers will continue to the point that it delays Cybertruck deliveries? Personally, I doubt the issue will be resolved before Giga Texas is ready to start CT production.
  8. CyberLandr Camper / Overlander Concept for Cybertruck [$150M reservations as of 2/24/23]

The range of initial impressions to the Cyberlandr seems very similar to initial impressions of the Cybertruck itself. I ordered a Cyberlandr and registered to win one. It will be interesting to see if the Cyberlandr design can be finalized before Tesla is producing CTs at Giga Texas. I...
  9. Concerned about safety when driving your Cybertruck?

Interesting range of perspectives. While I personally am not too concerned, I also realize there are a LOT of uninformed idiots who will take any chance to express their ignorance and displeasure with EVs (especially Teslas). I have owned a Model S since 2015 and only been coal-rolled once. The...
  10. Cybertruck Production Earlier Than Expected? Pilot line being built @ Fremont

Interesting discussion with many good points stated. A pilot line to train employees for the Texas Gigafactory is a good idea, but I think one of the main items to be developed with a pilot line is how to bend the exoskeleton panels at production scale. As Elon has frequently stated - building...
  11. Self park into/out of garage?

As the specs of the production version fo the CT has not yet been released, I think your question is a bit premature. However as the S, 3, X, Y vehicles all have summon and autopark capabilities, I would expect the CT to have similar software features. In my opinion, there is too much unknown...
