My model S did the same thing. Defrosted it very cold conditions. started driving and the little bit of snow one the hood, blew on to the windshield and it cracked.
hindsight being 2020, as soon as they were going to charge you for a second roll or PPF, should have just said no, taken the truck and gone somewhere else. This seems like you might have a legal case to get your money back. including what Tesla paid for on the door switch.
How does it hold up with driving at say 85 mph? Mine are printing now, and I have a 2 hour road trip coming up that I'll be doing 85 mph most of the time. Also what size it the nut for the roof rack mount?
I've yet to see any good renders of that yet. But I think the top triangle part needs to be distinct from the rest of the truck. The renders I've seen with the higher tailgate, break the illusion. I also think the X6 is the ugliest thing BMW every made(excluding the i3, I don't even consider...
The cybertrucks unique look only works because it's a triangle. As soon as that's gone it looks horrible. This is not an opinion it is a design fact. The aesthetic relies entirely on geometric cohesion. The design language is built around the apex of that triangle; if you flatten it into a...
I made some 3D printed ones. I took someone on here who had the design and modified it into a bolt-able one piece. Iām going to share the STL soon just been cleaning it up and testing durability.
This was my first iteration. The new one looks better, I just haven't taken any photos of it...
Would they fit diagonally top to bottom(along the side), or they have to fit across the corner to corner of the bed? You could probably modify the rack to angle just enough to stick out he back of the bed, leaving the tonneau cover slightly open. It would be less drag, and keep your skis...
I think it was less than $150 total, I ended up spending more due to trial and error, and buying to much 2020 aluminum, but that stuff is awesome, like legos for adults. Will probably build some more cool stuff with the left overs.
I updated my post with a parts list.
I saw someone had made a ski rack attached to the LTrack. I thought it was a good idea, and went waaay overboard.
I used 2020 extruded aluminum to build the rack, with 3D printed end caps I designed to hold ball bungees.

Nope, I love my truck, and donāt currently see any other vehicle that I want. Which is so weird, Iāve always had a ānextā car in mind. it always good to have a āDreamā car on a list. This is my 21st car, and it probably wont be my last. I just need to wait for someone to announce a better car...
CarPlay and Android audio are the best thing to happen to the auto industry since inflatable tires. Car manufacturers should not be making car entertainment software. (Tesla and ReIvan are software companies that make cars).
What CarPlay has that Cybertruck lacks:
Ability to open garage doors...
Doesnāt need to be crowd sourced. Just when it gets a high confidence reading, it could update it its self. But it could also auto mark speed traps. It was supposed to be able to do this Ike Waze, but it could track itself.
I was hoping the holiday update would have CarPlay. Also not hard to do(probably not trivial) but there is a 100% chance that there is an internal version with the working. Itās just getting the proper rights and payments to apple. And after seeing Engineering Explained issues with CarPlay on...
