Not a solution... but during the very hot days and when the sun was shining directly on the charging pad, I just placed my phone upside down (screen facing down) on the charging pad, so it would stop charging and heating up for the moment.
Really can't go wrong with either the Cyberbeast or the AWD. Test drive both, and choose the one to your liking.
Personally, I am an old school Jeep guy (currently have a JL 392,) and I like the configurations of predominantly rear-wheel-drive (on road) with mechanical front-and-rear lockers...
First I looked at the grab bars, but eventually I installed running boards to make getting in and out much easier.
With the Cybertruck at the Entry Mode height, my wife could easily ‘step’ in and out using the running boards. They did help a lot.
I am also a Jeep guy, and have/had Rubicon Wranglers (currently have a JLRU 392.)
Vehicles were damaged or broken down at Rubicon often, it was one tough trail.
Kudos to a private Cybertruck, without heavy modifications, made it this far on the Rubicon trail.
I probably never paid attention before......... but I just realized the 'Live Camera' on my iPhone App could also view the interior of the Cybertruck. Pretty cool!
With the combination of using this silicon center console charging pad and making sure no background apps are running on my iPhone 16 Pro, I haven't had overheating problem so far. Fingers crossed.
It is not ideal, but I will probably live with it for now...
Since my Cybertruck was wrapped with satin-finish grey-color PPF, it attracted much less unnecessary attention.ms.
Most drivers on the road just passed by without even had a look.
I believe the Big Three (Ford, GM, Stellantis) all have special programs designed for law enforcement fleet vehicles (F-150 Police Responder, Chevy Silverado 1500 PPV, RAM 1500 SSV, etc.)
The Cybertruck could be a viable contender. May be Tesla should look into it too.
I checked with my State Farm insurance agent, and she confirmed that they were not dropping any Cybertruck policies...... just because it's a Cybertruck.
That's one of the reasons that I like insurance companies that still have local agency offices. I could literally walked into the office...
