That doesn't mean they can't or didn't
Well 250k/yr when the goal is 20M/yr for all products combined is relatively small.
To your original question. $77k with FSD for the 500+ mile variant.
Boring. We all knew aftermarkets racks would be made. I want bonafide specs on the truck itself, pricing, roll out plans, etc.
Having said that, I do like that we got to see something without some dumb announcement that something would be mentioned months in advance and then we speculate on it...
Deal breaker #1 would be <500 miles of range. For me, there is no conversation without this spec.
Once the range is in place...
#2 If it wasn't 4x4 or AWD I wouldn't buy it.
Once I know I have the range and AWD in place...
#3 Price. I know I'm going to have to pay, what I would call a premium...
"Only" is subjective. I still have a problem with that when about 1/2 of that degradation appears (per the graph) to be in the first 50k miles. I'm really hoping the 4680s perform better over the long term.
Given 500x94%=470 miles full to empty and we do not drive full to empty so 80% of that...
It's a balance. I'll wait until it makes sense to buy the 500+ mile variant.
My F150 has 136k miles on it now and it drives fine. So if the first CTs available are not capable of 500 miles, I'll wait. If the price of the 500+ CT is more then initially advertised when my reservation comes up...
Just depends on how EM defines slow and how we interpret that. Starting at 50 CTs/week is pretty darn slow.
Are we talking Rivian slow...which would be 1k-2k for the first qtr of delivery. Rivian is a start-up company, so I'm sure those numbers can be handily beaten.
Or Lightning slow...no...
If the automation is in place (not to be confused with full ramp up) I don't think 21k is all that high. After 4 months these numbers less then 1/2 of full ramp up.
Ford put out ~20k Lightnings deliveries their first year starting those deliveries in the summer. I think EM keeps these numbers...
At least until the mid 70s. I don't remember the model year, (I want to say it was a 77') but one of the first vehicles I remember riding in as a kid was a Silverado and it had vents in the foot space that could be manually opened and closed with the push and pull of a rod.
Is it just me or are we seeing the Tesla trolls come out in full force more recently? It seems there are more on this site lately, more trash articles lately, more "analysts" that that are suggesting don't buy the TSLA dip, etc. Seems like a last ditch effort attack to prevent convince a...
