And in California and other West Coast states, speed above 55 mph while towing is already a violation.
I found logic to that. Towing my RV at 60-65 mph makes it unstable and I even have an over-the-specs weight distribution and sway control system.
And to think, I have a very simple buy-or-not-buy decision criteria for F150 Lightning.
Why would I pay double on F150 Lightning when it's performance for my intended use of towing and winter driving is a lot lower than it's replacement/alternative F150 counterpart?
Then some wise guy said...
@cvalue13 - did you work in the casino loading dice or is it in carnival in shell game?
@Greshnab brought up towing performance of Tesla Model Y with 30% drop in range and you are muddying it up by putting some looky-here bicycle add on (to match your F150 Lightning 70% range drop)?
Yes, I am...
@cvalue13 - Gawd you are relentless!
Would you be ameliorated and consoled if I say that ok, you may not have made a big boo-boo buying that F150 Lightning low-tech lemon. You can even show it to your wife.
And yes, read and re-read @Greshnab post about towing range for Tesla Model Y. Read...
Must be a failure of the state's public education., Reading comprehension problem?
I can't be anti-BEV when my posts were specific about F150 Lightning range issues and when I'm actually praising Tesla's battery tech. The family owns Tesla X and a Y.
And when my biggest stock portfolio is...
Appreciate the elaborate physics. Yes, I do understand. My dad taught me physics in high school and did knock my head a few times doing my homework. And the more complicated aspect of the lessons fell down.
But yeah, let me use simple math for comparison.
F150 ICE - 36% drop or lower mpg...
Dude, maybe you've not noticed this yet and it's my duty to point this to you.
I'm not pro ICE, but you are unfairly loading the dice against the ICE trucks.
I don't know what world you live but there is no such thing as a truck with 13-gallon tank.
There is even an apple-to-apple...
Reality, or the proof of the pudding, only happens when we see a Tesla employee driving a Cybertruck as his personal vehicle and not a test unit. The pattern for Tesla's new models.
If you'll excuse me, if I am done with that "uninformed buyer" debate. I hate repeating myself -- and hate it more having people repeating themselves as if others are 2-year old. :ROFLMAO:
It's their (and my) money. They buy based on truck's specs, realized they made a mistake, they sell it...
So in summary, in your world, you have to lower the denominator (comparator) to make your mistake of big-ticket purchase justifiable?
Asking for a friend, did it work on the wife? I might try it myself sometime. :ROFLMAO:
And all these years, I thought that the reason for buying a new...
Tyler Mathisen, a CNBC anchor who was on the Tesla factory the other day, said that the Cybertruck line is totally different.
The design is supposed to eliminate complexities. But in the law of unintended consequences, it might just have moved the complexity somewhere. I would think it's in...
@cvalue13 - I read your kilometric cross-post too. I am glad you referenced F150 Lightning forum. I am there and read all the posts and feedback of first owners. And yeah, tons of good and also bad reviews. The deal-breaker for me was when an owner, not isolated as others who also had a...
That's a bigger number than the "insider reader" Tesla alumni, lol.
But I'll take it. Got my reservations in the same night of the launch although website kept on freezing on me. Who knows, fortune may smile on the hopeful?
