@cvalue13
My short response is, I don't like the manufacturer of a truck, nor anyone else telling me, how to modify my driving nor change my wintry environment to get the promised performance (or less headaches and issues) with my big-ticket vehicle purchase. It should meet my expectations as...
Ok, here is the latest: Tesla wants to produce up to 500,000 Cybertruck electric pickups annually - first customers to receive vehicles by the end of 2023.
Congratualtions @Sousray!
First customers to receive CT 2023
Sorry, but all your premises seem to counter your main argument.
I'm not sure if I can claim to be "informed buyer" but Ford corporate already texted and e-mailed me for the nth time and I'm still not doing my orders for precisely the same reasons you said are not true/happening.
Damn, those...
Even with the 70% drop out rate, it will still be more than a year's production.
F150 Lightning had a drop-out of 50% (not sure of reliability of the number) after the reviews about towing, winter driving range issues and dealers' price gouging.
This is the most astute analysis so far.
Not even my or that "insider reader" opinionating.
Tyler at CNBC is still mentioning his tour of the factory floor yesterday.
I bet Musk has sworn him into secrecy, but I am waiting for him to slip and accidentally mention that Cybertruck is...
The good news is that Tesla is cutting their prices across the board on their current model in the face of stiff competition, consumer demand and their high inventories.
The bad news is that they have to recover somehow the drop in profit -- and they'll get it on the unit with the high demand...
And all Elon had to do is send someone here and count all the Godots and see the smears of saliva on the keyboards whenever someone post a photo of a Cybertruck.:rolleyes:
Yes, it will not be all of sudden that Cybertrucks will be flooding the streets.
Most likely we will see a few being driven by Tesla employees in Texas or Fremont.
And if I'm the CFO, I'll be nagging Elon to deploy resources to producing the Cybertruck as a first priority with the sure demand rather than other models that just builds up their unsold inventories that's now they are discounting to move out. Double jeopardy of lower profit and tying up...
I have been absent for two years and did not notice the change of atmosphere into pessimism.
Must be the barrage of disappointment in waiting -- and waiting some more that we are no longer giving in to the possibility that Elon may yet give us a pleasant surpirse. :D
I would have also given it a larger -80% factor for Elon exaggeration except that it's not Musk who said it.:p
But my hopes and dreams are admittedly off the charts!
So it's strike 2 after the armoured glass fiasco of the launch?
No biggie though, I got stuck on the snow off my driveway even with all my 4x4 tires and other appurtenances.
Makes for a good excuse to add more off-road accessories to my Cybertruck.
