Yep. I love how Elon talks about Teslas like they are some amazing investment. Then you try and trade yours in for a new one.
Me: "Here is my $72k MYLR, how much can a loyal customer like me get for trade in?"
Tesla: "Your car is worth garbage. We will give you a $20 gift certificate to Chili's...
Yeah, that was my guess. But my question was for someone with a CT already. We don't know if there is something unknown that will cause more drain. More cameras for example? I want real data from a CT owner because we are all just making educated guesses.
Ok. That makes sense. So slightly bigger battery, slightly less drain by percentage. Hopefully that means the even bigger battery of the CT means even less. Would be nice to keep Sentry mode on for an entire week with the CT, especially since it causes so much love and hate. I can see immature...
That is excellent info. Thanks for posting that. Two of the Superchargers I have been to are at Tesla sales center and the service center. Both of them would absolutely not have a spot and the service center is not exactly an area I would want to leave a trailer blocks away with expensive toys...
I might be talking out of my area of experience but towing long distance in CT or any other EV truck seems like it would be an absolute nightmare. A quick fuel stop every few hundred miles getting poor gas mileage on a big tank in a truck seems like a financial burden and a convenient time...
Wow, ease off the fanboy pedal a bit buddy. There are cool things about the CT for sure but let's just break that down.
1. Charging network: my nearest Supercharger is almost 40 miles away. That network is useless to me and road trips in the CT even if NOT towing are going to be terrible...
Maybe you misread. I wasn't asking about options. I was asking about battery drain on Sentry. So, yeah, this one is for Cybertruck owners that have real info. Thanks though.
No. Tesla is the worst investment you can make in a vehicle if you ask me. Maybe other EVs could be worse but my experience is from owning 2 Model Y Long Range vehicles. I got the trade-in offer for my $72k 13 month old MYLR from Tesla just days ago. $36k was the offer. I freaked out and talked...
I have a FS CT on order and I flip flop daily on the decision to cancel. I am getting completely ripped of on trade-in because Tesla dropped the price of the MY by $20k just two weeks after I took delivery of it. The plan (knowingly inefficient, was to trade-in whenever the CT finally arrived)...
I am. I don't have a VIN yet but the more I learn about Cybertruck, the more it seems like a lemon. FS value just doesn't add up to me. It was basically just a way for Tesla to force early adopters like us to pony up for FSD which I would not have done. And explain what the other $8000 is paying...
It is a battery killer though. I regularly leave town and leave my Model Y for 3-4 days each week. Sentry drains about 6-7% per 24 hour period. For stops at the grocery store it is fine, but go on vacation for a week and you will come home to a battery at 20% and Sentry mode off.
Someone tried towing and it didn't even get 90 miles. I think they said they only charged to 75% though. Most of us charge to 80% Still, that is horrible. I don't need to tow but I was supposed to be getting a Tri-motor with 500 miles and now I have a FS dual (to get the best range possible)...
Yeah, sorry to hear your story, man. I really want to love Tesla but that feeling of being manipulated and being taken advantage of is hard to forget. Especially when they continue screwing you over. So many things they could have done to make it less painful. Free FSD would have helped with...
? Yep. Not too happy right now. Very, very disappointed with all of it. Such a shame too. If they had delivered half of what they promised it would have been cool.
Thanks. I will try that and yeah I was confident in good resell prices because of the market at the time. Terrible luck for both of us. I do love my Model Y and I have a whole bunch of saved cash now. I guess I will do more traveling, haha. But not in a Cybertruck.
