This is honestly my most burning question I have about the final design... All the other questions we've raised on this forum are interesting to be sure, but the mid-gate is going to be such a massive issue for camping/overlanding
Rivian has certainly built plenty so far. They're testing them all over the place and constantly posting videos. Granted they are not production models, but I'd wager there are many more Rivian R1T's in existence right now than there are CTs
My wife and rented a performance model 3 for my birthday weekend in California and had a blast. We did it through Turo, and I don't know of any other sites besides Turo, but they probably exist.
Last I had ever looked into this subject I was under the impression only the delivery fee could be put on a credit card, but maybe that is outdated info now? Assuming they don't charge an upfront % for using CC as payment method, it's a great way to take advantage of points.
The main thing anyone here would be missing is the context in which you plan to use the truck.
Are you a city driver who doesn't need extra battery range? Do you plan to take this CT off pavement?
Dual motor will primarily accomplish two things: longer range, and better offroading. (plus more...
Did he intentionally post it? or was it unintentionally uploaded onto the servers of his new employer and thereafter leaked? I heard both stories, but I honestly have no clue what's true
This was posted on the Reddit thread, for whatever it's worth:
"This is NOT a new UI. This is a mock-up UI...
Someone else commented this on a reddit thread... the UI doesn't seem to be new, this is likely the old UI from the original reveal when they were taking people on test drives...
Let the other trucks steal market share... it gets me my CT faster :devilish:
Honestly I think the effect would be minimal, Tesla has never had a demand issue.
I hate to agree with you on this, but I think you are likely right. From what I understand a lot of other models and updates/specs go completely un-addressed and we don't get official updates until someone actually has a vehicle in hand for a Youtube review...
examples I can think of would be...
None of this is about cancelling a reservation. We get hyped up with news for the CT, and often can fall into an overly optimistic bias towards a lot of things when it comes to production of this behemoth. I think looking at videos that seek to put out more grounded expectations (or even...
prototype... it was fun to see a CT out in the wild, but this is not the final CT, so details should be taken w/ a grain of salt, especially ones on the interior
I think this will confirm once and for all that the lines in the truck bed are not T-tracks but rather raised up plastic runners to help with sliding items into/out of the bed
