I'm going to do another test drive. I agree with the poster from August. When I did mine it felt rushed. Having not owned a Tesla prior to this, I wish I could have sat in it a while and really looked around. Also a more comprehensive test drive would have worked to help me see how I felt about...
I did, but it was rushed. I also dragged the family with me to see if I could fit three car seats in the back like I could in my Lightning. They were churning people out so it was jump in do the loop, jump out. I'm actually planning do a second one to review some of the things I've learned from...
I was asking because I'm still deciding on which EV truck I'm getting next. I haven't owned a Tesla, but I assumed it was less hassle, or superior to legacy's Blue Cruise or Super Cruise. Can anyone chime in who has had experience with both? BC nags, but lock outs are temporary. As long as my...
Appreciate the candid discussion! Won't add anymore to the differences but will clarify again that I did not say CT is not a work truck.
Regarding best tool for the job, I made the Lightning work for a while, Got lucky with a buy back, and thought the hybrid F150 King Ranch would appease me...
That gives me so much joy! Can't wait to hear the follow up on how they found him, what he has to say about it, and what if any the consequences will be!
Is FSD not hands free? I thought that was the point. I had to use the weight in my Lightning because my hand didn't torque the steering wheel enough during the Blue Cruise gaps where I only had ACC and lane center.
They're moving fast. already at 113, and I'm in 114.
Regarding the $7,500. Is everyone here making a ton of money or something. The ratio of YOLO'ers and "it's just $7,500" to the I'd like to see if I can save $7,500 on my purchase is pretty high. I make good money, and would never just give up...
I preface my responses by again reiterating that I think the CT is an awesome and capable truck. It's not an attack on the CT. I'll also take it a step further and fully admit that as someone who hasn't had a chance to put the Tesla through its work paces, I obviously can be completely wrong...
I drive 15-20k miles a year, 75% of that away from home for months, so can't rely on charging overnight for better part of the year. Most of this in small cities and rural areas. CT range isn't impossible, but certainly doesn't make things as easy as having that extra 100 in the tank. I was...
That kind of thought process isn't good for business. We're not talking design or software here, this is a utility and market share issue. You have guys like me that are literally hanging on the balance. The Tesla is good enough that I'm debating it with something that would clearly work better...
Just had State Farm quote me for a CT after hearing about the Geico issues. They quoted $100 more a month for the CT over a Silverado EV RST. The RST EV is in line with normal ICE/EV rates. I haven't gotten answer yet on whether MSRP or cost to fix impacted the cost. I wanted to know this since...
Good to know! I'll have to do the same. I'm RN11434 so I still have some time. That way if it does get the regular tax credit, I'll go that route, if not, I run it through the S-Corp.
Can anyone share experiences with wrap durability? I'd hate to have to rewrap every 1-2 years. Ideally I'd want to have it last 5 years. How does it hold up with highway driving and gravel roads?
Finally, someone who's done this! I've been looking for you, lol. Anyway, I have an S-corp and my accountant is supposed to get back to me regarding this question, as he has to research after tax filing for October is over, but if you can help it'd be much appreciated. I have the following...
All trucks cannot be all things, and subjectiveness makes common ground difficult to find. As someone who utilizes my trucks in a variety of truck ways, I'm trying to share where Tesla's short coming's are. I will readily admit where the legacy trucks need work, but it seems like there's no give...
The struggle is real here. Both brands have great strengths and weaknesses, and they don't overlap. I don't have a clear winner for my use case. Confirmation of what the range extender looks like will be decider if that happens before my RN gets called.
