I would guess every year you will see incremental battery life and energy density improved. If you think about it, it isnāt worth worrying about for normal drivers. It would be difficult for to justify the expense to upgrade.
Picture the battery as a 20 gal fuel tank.
After about 200,000 miles...
If Tesla put a 48 volt input plug in the truck bed, you could hang these like a folding door. Connect the panels in series for 48 volt output. Connect them together with nylon ties. Then by simply adding adding three fiber glass rods that span the bed width to make a hanger system. The CT...
I assume you have a battery bank or Tesla Wall in between. Being able to plug additional solar cells directly into the CT would turn the truck into that battery bank.
I would never have to plug in to a charger. 5,500 miles a year is about all that I drive being retired. My 16 year old Toyota FJ only has about 75,000 on it.
it would be nice if the CT had an easily accessible solar panel plug-in to add charging solar capacity from an external solar cell bank...
Steer by Wire is already on the marketā¦ā¦Lexus has it. Great video below. Hope the CT has it.
All Tesla needs to do is improve on it to get progressive steering to make the yoke wheel work great. Tesla has applied for steer by wire patents. Donāt be surprised to see it.

The L in 300 stainless steels is for low carbon and increased corrosion resistance. The last I read it was compared to 304L but I imagine it has been tweaked by Tesla as they learned to improve it with its wide use by SpaceX.
There have already been some great detailed engineering analyses of what the stainless steel 3mm adds to the CT rigidity and load carrying capacity. True, it is no longer an exoskeleton in the strictest sense, but a combination. When the CT was announced the huge structural casting were simply a...
