I think we will find more useful opportunities than expected. I sort of agree, but then I also think of all the times I wish could just ease closer to the curb without Austin-Powers-ing my vehicle or nudge the vehicle a little bit in a parking space to get a better center line, reach a charging...
I feel like unless you’re staying overnight or equivalent, the Level 2 locations are next to useless. I have zero concerns about local charging but a ton about road tripping while towing.
We don’t hesitate to hop in the Y for most trips but towing still requires significant additional planning...
100%. I live in rural Kentucky and driving directly south is impossible (if I want to also come home). I’d have to drive 6 hours to get to a town 3 hours away.
The hard part with towing isn’t necessarily about the range, but about the availability of charging, ease of charging access (I.e. pull-through), and duration of charging.
Opinion coming off of a 320-mile towing road trip with our small camper this past weekend with our R1T.
I fully expect...
I see what you’re saying, but I also want to point out the placement of the front seat relative to the B-pillar. In the CT, the seat seems back a bit more than the front set of the ford. Maybe by as much as 4-5 inches.
I’m saying you’re wrong, just that looks can be deceiving.
I have a set of ramps and have used others. None of them are as secure and safe as I would like or as what was demoed in 2019. I'll continue using what I have if I must, but I'd prefer an option that was both safer and more convenient.
It's also not difficult to find info about people loading...
No Lightning, but my 2023 R1T is $650 / 6 months through my farm bureau agency. Includes whatever discounts I can qualify for (multi-vehicle, multi-policy, safe driver, etc.).
For comparison, our 2021 Model Y is $490 / 6 months on the same policy.
I think anyone who thinks they won't use the frunk much because they don't use it today are ignoring the lack of "trunk" in a truck. Even if the bed is available, and even if there's under-bed storage, it's simply not a good space for many things. The frunk of the CT will be the new trunk from a...
The lightbar is in the newer test vehicles. What you see in the photo look to be fog lights - they are placed identically to the fog lights on my Tacoma. You can see the light bar in the image as well, same location as in the original.
See the latest known prototype here (around 1:10 mark)...
Might have been the application before. This article describes it as granted. But yeah, I thought the same thing. There was another one I thought the same about and I think it was the same situation. News about the application vs. news about it being granted.
Definitely strikes me as a bad decision to go "full send" expecting thick grass/straw to offer the same opportunity to get loose as gravel. Followed by a cat-like attempt to pass it off as no big deal on their part (as when my cat accidentally slides off the couch then acts all casual about it)...
