I admit I haven’t listened to the call, but Teslarati are reporting that Elon stated production would begin mid-2023, not deliveries.

I'm curious why?
I'd probably drive around with it closed for efficiency gains (if any) and to keep the bed dry (preference, as I hate having water pooled in Tacoma when the drain ports clog).
So I'm curious what the significant gain to driving mainly with it open might be?
Primarily that a casual inspection won't identify any issues on either vehicle. A more thorough visual inspection might notice that some gaps aren't perfectly even from end-to-end. No obvious panel misalignments, no panels jutting out from the body more than others. At least on my car.
I didn't...
We took delivery of a Model Y in December. Fit & finish are no worse than the Toyota it replaced. I think this complaint is overstated today (definitely a bigger problem in the past).
I was assuming around March back when everyone was hopeful that the IDRA machine might get delivered by September (press+6mos seems like a reasonable guidepost). Heard today that's more likely to be October or so. Therefore mid-23 seems a reasonable estimate.
I wonder when we'll see alpha/beta...
I would love to see them be successful as I think they fill a niche in the market that VW's new bus will only partly cover (and without any of the new ideas they originally claimed).
I want a truck that seats 5+, so the Canoo wouldn't be a contender for my business, but still an interesting...
A few renders and maaaaybe a single prototype.
But LOTS of renders. Just... lots. Of renders. And ads. My god, THE ADS.
My guess is a 2024 production timeline.
I could be wrong.
Where's the fun in that?! BAT deserves BAW!
There appears to be less hood/bonnet space, it's more complicated, a two-wiper setup likely wouldn't reach the auto-pilot camera, and Tesla seems to want a cleaner line, to name a few reasons.
Could probably lay the BAW sideways and do something...
Like every other truck? Do you hear yourself? :)
Almost nothing about the CT is like any other truck - I like it like that.
On a more serious note, I see what you're saying, but I think it would mess with aerodynamics a bit. Even on the 3/Y the wipers tuck down as far out of the airstream as...
Unless we get good news, and definitely if we get bad news, I aim to take delivery of a Rivian myself later this year.
I’ll keep my Cybertruck reservation and decide later whether I want to trade out.
Nice. We got ours installed and grandfathered in to 1:1 netmetering right before everything changed. Netmetering went away and rates went up by nearly 30%.
Now that gas prices are going up, our Tesla is getting far more attention, too.
We live in rural eastern Kentucky, where both are...
Sweet! She's still beautiful.
Right after reserving my CT, I found his videos and he helped me do the math on CTO and helped me justify the purchase in a big way. That subsequently spurred our family's entire move to PV/EV (we put up solar panels 2 years ago this June and just got my wife's Y...
Basically yes.
They projected the price, maintained the price, and let the press freely talk about the price as if it were set. Had they slowly raised prices (as Tesla is doing) or communicated better through these channels, they might have been able to pull it off. Now they're biting a huge...
I'm wondering the same thing. The F350 starting price is around 40k with no upgrades or options. The fuel saving speak for themselves (and loudly). I think just sharing one graph would shut up any cost arguments. That car is paying for itself big time!
My Geo Prism in the 90's was a collab between Chevy and Toyota. Chevy, I think, made much of the body while it had a Toyota engine.
When I finally let it go the engine was still phenomenal. The body, tho...
I've not been inside a Mercedes in a while, but I've never felt more comfortable seats than are in our Model Y. The materials are excellent as well - you'd never tell the seats aren't real (and very soft) leather... until it's time to clean them, which is far easier than real leather.
The one...
Why didn't they make it adult-sized?!
Also, wtf white? EDIT: clicked thru and there is a silver one. Still not buying one since I can't fit in it.
Mostly the first one, though.
