No clue. I made an early reservation at the beginning of the unveiling (11274), but I know no one, donāt already have a Tesla, and was still able to order on 12/15.
As I refreshed the app to see if my VIN had been assigned, as I do 7 or 8 (hundred) times a day, the app briefly showed me a different screen with vertical tiles under the Cybertruck picture, the top one called Owners Manual. The change made me freak out, thinking that I had gotten my VIN, and I...
Itās up to 16 nowā¦.. thatās almost a 25% increase! ?
And I know of a few more people on the board whoāve gotten them, but have not yet added their name to the list.
Although the list has not been updated, I think the first couple of 12/15 orders took delivery, which is what I was waiting for because thatās the day I ordered. Unfortunately, that also means a ton of 12/8 to 12/14 orders were skipped over. ?
Did I miss where someone else already addressed that you ordered a tri-motor? That canāt help but add to the chances of getting skipped over and/or a delay.
Yeah, I never got an estimate either. I ordered on 12/15 during the second wave, but I never got an invite either.....just followed the advice of a poster here who said to try clicking on the picture of the Cybertruck in the app. It worked and I was able to order. But no estimate for delivery.
You seem to be forgetting that the idea I floated was because another poster was looking for a way to use a credit card to pay for a Cybertruck. I donāt have to do any math because Iām paying cash for my Cybertruck. But points vary significantly by individual credit card and company, and Iām...
Yeah, thatās why this MIGHT be a way around it, because you pay the transaction fee, not the business. Whether that transaction fee is so high that it makes it not worthwhile depends on the terms. Itās literally a cash advance transaction off your credit card, but these things look just like...
Hereās my current offer from B of Aā¦ā¦0% interest until Feb 2025. Iāve seen the offers go as long as two years. The interest starts accruing from the day the business cashes the convenience check, and gets tacked on if the balance is not paid in full by Feb 2025. But notice thereās also a 4%...
My bad, forgot to answerā¦..my B of A CC doesnāt offer points, which is why I rarely use it. I use AMEX Platinum for everything, which generates a ton of points at differing rates, depending on what Iām buying.
But there are two separate issues hereā¦ā¦ first, that people with sufficient means...
You misunderstand the situation. People who put big ticket items on credit cards are doing it for the points, and pay off the balance immediately. Itās not used instead of a traditional auto loan.
My Bank of America CC still has āconvenience checksāā¦ā¦. you write one of their checks for whatever amount your credit line covers, it acts like a check to the business and goes on your credit card balance. You pay the extra convenience check fee, which probably takes care of the money they lose...
As a 12/15 AWD order in SoCal, this is the burning question for me. It seems like they are still doing the first round of 12/8 orders, but I am hoping that the first person who gets a VIN from a 12/15 order will let us all know. :)
