I hate it because now I can’t properly secure my 9’ longboard on the roof, it would snap in half. Not to mention how many accessories attach to the forward mounts. Pretty disappointed in this decision.
Plastics can be pretty tough, I'm thinking of power tool casings/toolboxes, even most rubrails are some kind of plastic for reduced friction to get you off the rocks.
If these are reliable and durable they'll absolutely blow up. Lawncare companies are still driving around 80's tacomas because nobody makes an easy entry bed anymore. I'm glad these weren't out when I bought the CT, it'd be hard to justify the frills with that big of a price difference.

If I hit a "Reduce your use" on-peak it's $1.16 per kWh.
All I can say is don't get the umbrella, it will rip up the cloth in front. I have an AWD, not sure where the Alcantara is for you cyberbeasters, (or how durable it is against sharp little metal pieces) but the mesh stuff tore in my CT :(
I just bought one on a sale and was disappointed at how smooth and rubbery it is. I would have not considered that to be something I cared about till it came.
I'm not worried about cushy, I'd love a TPE (or whatever) one that's the same material as the OEM all-weather floor mats, just less...
