I thought the rear view in my M3 was atrocious at first, but i got used to it within a week. I imagine the CT will be similar.. Never expected to have any visibility through the mid gate, but the huge screen and digital mirrors should be more than enough to get around...
i NEED more details. CT seems like a missile: i bet they are building a temp crash test facility in Texas, casue they keep breaking other people's stuff with their cyber truck. I picture it sticking out the concrete wall like Excalibur!
I guess it is a good thing these tests measure the safety...
too many unknowns at the moment, that's why to me it's a tossup . + we don't know what this was used for exactly, let alone what trim would be best for that application.
Although both scenarios are equally likely, i am leaning towards your man missing a motor. Cant be sure without a teardown, and your man's not likely to be a mechanical engineer..
What do you mean StB has no advantage in a computerized system? it has all of the same advantages, if not more:
Instead of adding an actuator to the steering column to facilitate FSD, you get rid of the steering column and turn the wheels directly by moving the rack for both FSD and driver...
i subscribe to the idea that all press is good press. there will be issues on release, but i dont think anyone will expect tesla to be perfect when it comes to fixing the first new model they've released in 4 years. The more places this *glitch* is seen the better.
On a side note, i LOVE how...
i see your point, but wouldn't they want to get other service centers on the same page as quickly as possible? I look at this as an opportunity to train them all up, with hands on examples :)
If a customer is willing to trek down to the factory for a pickup, Tesla would be a fool not to satisfy...
My guess for priority: Trim, reservation, location.
I am hoping geographic location is less of a factor with factory pickup option that Elon has stated will be available on release. And my trim will be whatever they make first!
yeah, 60-90 days till the first delivery. Singular. I agree with above..
I expect them to take several months to ramp up to the point where 1k+ models are coming off the line every month. I have a minute one reservation (#5000) , and i don't expect to see my truck till around valentines day...
Really? No one's mentioned that the CT was supposed to roll out of the factory without a driver? i thknk FSD is the biggest broken promise, but meh.. i guess they are making slow progress, looking forward to seeing what dojo can do.
There have been reports that although the cameras and CPU are better, the new HW4 computer is actually worse than the previous version in many ways. 8gb RAM instead of 16, and it is cheaper non-EEC type. I am hoping this is just for the MY and M3 refresh.. The extra camera inputs are for the...
Looks like the air shocks are definitely there, but this video does nothing to solve the mystery of the driver getting out! Still hopeful for a mid-gate!
