if it’s a January build, even if it shows available for immediate delivery, they won’t sell it. I found one near me, called, and confirmed the vehicle would be subject to the same hold even if it baked in the site
So I just got better information. Spoke to the delivery lead who went and spoke to service lead in QA.
this is an issue with January build (2024 is ok)
Issue is with a specific component in the HV battery pack (not the cells)
Tesla is still determining whether they want to replace the component...

I saw an inventory truck that matched my spec and called. They told me while it shows for immediate pickup it’s on hold. They said most Cybertrucks manufactured in January are subject to this hold. This may explain while some people are able to take delivery of trucks that were manufactured in...
There were 2 issues related to this. One was a harness which they replaced, other was dented battery packs in which case they swapped them out. Both were around the 20th of December.
This is something else

somebody should know something. Probably engineering but hard for customers to get to...
just spoke to them again. Looks like my vehicle arrived at the delivery center but is also on a battery hold. She didn’t have an ETA on the fix. She said many are effected
